in the shadows

One day when u was coming out from school I noticed that my aunt was picking me up instead of my mom. "Why are you picking me up?" I asked my aunt then she responded with "your parents are out of town for a week so I will be taking care of you for the mean time". After hearing my aunt say that I was surprised that my parents left without telling me. So instead of saying something I just stayed there quiet. "Lets take you home" said my aunt, I nodded my head and said "ok".

After my aunt dropped me off at my house she said "call me if you need anything" then I said "ok". When my aunt left it started to rain and I started to hear thunder and lightning. After a couple of hours I started to get bored so I decided to call my best friend Samantha. When I called her she picked up the phone and then I said "hi Samantha" then she said "hi" in a sleepy voice. After chatting for a couple of minutes Samantha said "why is there noises coming from your kitchen?" After hearing her say that I quickly hung up the phone and I slowly went downstairs.

While I was walking down the stairs I was hearing noises from the kitchen. When I made it down the stairs I peeked through the corner of the wall and saw a blurry dark shadow. The shadow had red eyes and a wide creep smile. When I saw the shadow I wanted to scream but before I could the shadow saw me. When it saw me it started coming towards me fast so I ran up to my room and locked the door Then I sat on my bed and put my sheets cover over my head and started saying "go to sleep" multiple times.

Before I could fall asleep the shadow started banging on my door and then it broke down my door and entered my room. When it entered my room it started coming towards me slowly then it jumped on top of me and I saw the shadow very clearly. The shadow had the body of a very big spider and the head of my aunt. Then I realized that the monster was my aunt. While trying to defend myself from the monster it said "your real aunt is dead and so are your parents and now your next" then I said "you might have been able to kill them but you will never kill me".

While protecting myself the monster tried to stab me with its leg but then I grabbed it leg and turned it towards it and then I stabbed the monster with its own leg. When I stabbed it the monster screeched really loudly and then it turned back into my aunt and died. After it died I spent days being afraid of the dark. One week later my parents came back but when they came back I was very confused because the monster had told me that they were dead. So when my parents entered the house I ran to them and gave them a big hug. After my parents finished unpacking there things I told them everything that happened with the monster but they didn't believe me. When I told them my parents had a serious look on there face and then they said "don't worry I'm sure it was just a dream"  but I knew that it wasn't a dream so then I started to wonder are these even my real parents.
