"Juliet, Darling" I stopped walking and turned to see Romeo standing there. "Romeo" I said as he took my hand. We walked into the party and almost immediately I saw my ex. In that same moment Romeo grabbed me by the waist and pulled me closer to him then whispered "Luv, he's irrelevant." I smiled knowing that I'd be safe with him. Someone walked by and untied the mask I had on and it fell.

I looked down to see my ex, Anth, walking over to pick it up. "I think she's good without you." Romeo said as he stepped forward and snatched it from Anth. "I was just helpin the lady" Anth said with a rather sarcastic smirk. "I don't need your help" I huffed. Romeo and I walked away and we found a quiet spot right under the ball lights. "Romeo?" I waited.. "Hm?" He snapped out of his haze. "Do you think we'll last?" I asked as a single tear fell. Romeo looked at me and I looked down at the ground. He placed his hands on my face and said "Juliet, I can promise you I'll do whatever I can to be with you." I lost my cool immediately and he wrapped me in a hug. Romeo's phone buzzed in his pocket and he checked it then said "Shit.. I gotta go." He hugged me one last time then disappeared into the night. I sat outside by the water wondering what could be so important. Anth sat down next to me. "So he up and left?" Anth looked at me. "Yeah, I guess.. he'll be back I know it." I insisted. Anth put his arm around me and I shoved him off of me. "Anth get the fuck away from me, please!" I yelled at him. I stood up to go leave but as I was running out Anth grabbed my hand and said "Juliet please don't leave." I spotted Romeo and he was already looking at me but then Anth kissed me. "ANTH!" Romeo ran off and I ran after him. "Romeo come back that wasn't planned I didn't even kiss him back!" I screamed at Romeo. Romeo looked back at me "Whatever Juliet go be with Anth, we wouldn't have worked anyway." He said with a tear rolling down his cheek. I felt my heart shatter and I stumbled backwards a little. "Wait Juliet I didn't mean that.." Romeo added. "If that's really how you feel then I guess I'm going back home." I said. I walked to my dad's house and packed my stuff. My phone rang with a call from Romeo but I ignored it. I made my way to the airport and boarded the plane. About an hour into the flight I decided to take a nap.
