Y/n's Pov

"It's so beautiful! Paimon loves it!" A overly excited Piamon exclaimed beside y/n and Aether. Y/n smiled at her two new friends, pleased that they enjoyed this Liyue tradition so much. It is indeed as stunning as ever. Y/n glanced at the night sky, the same gentle soft smile that a certain Yaksha have grown to love glazed on her lips.

"If you both don't mind," y/n turned towards her friends apologetically, "I will take my leave for the night." Aether and Paimon just nodded acceptingly at the adeptus, and she disappeared into the night.

Having appeared onto a isolated hill near Liyue, the h/c-haired female sighed in content. It's amazing how beautiful Liyue can be after all the distubances it had experienced... I just wish Xiao could be here right now.

Y/n smiled sadly down at her hands where a lantern lay, waiting to be released into the sky. "Oh well. I suppose I'll go back to my duties-" Y/n straightened and was about to leap into the night sky when a sudden gust of wind appeared.

"You called?"

Y/n's eyes widened when Xiao showed himself infront of her. "Wha-"

Xiao smirked in amusement, "Our minds are connected, so I can hear when you call my name. Or have you forgotten that y/n." He stepped tauntingly closer and closer, until there was only a few inches of space between them.

The female adeptus was flabbergasted. How could she have forgotten that?! So much for privacy. Y/n turned her back towards the male yaksha, trying to hide her furiously blushing face. "You wanted to release a lantern with me?" Xiao prompted, picking up the lantern that y/n once held and surveyed it closely while glancing at the cherry-red female in the process.

"Yes..." Y/n turned around, finally calm from the previous occasion. "I understand if you don't have the time Xiao, I have duties too-"

"Nonsense." Xiao muttered sharply and pulled out a pen, "so, shall we?" Y/n's eyes widened and she nodded adoringly, producing a pen of her own.

"We shall."

Xiao's pov

Xiao kneels down, taking his pen and preparing to write his wish on the lantern while his eyes never leaves y/n's face. She's... so beautiful. Xiao's eyes widened as he realized what he had just thought of and quiclly bends his head down to block y/n from seeing his pink face. Taking a deep breath, Xiao writes down his wish.

Happiness and love for y/n.

That will do.

Y/n's pov

Y/n glanced at the seated male in front of her and saw his pink-tinted ear-tips. She giggled to herself. Oh how I adore you Xiao

That will have to do.
