𝓗𝓮𝓻 𝓼𝔀𝓮𝓮𝓽 𝓶𝓮𝓵𝓸𝓭𝔂 (𝓴𝓪𝓮𝓶𝓪𝓴𝓲)

Maki's POV

I woke up from a nightmare, me and all my classmates were put in a killing game, and my girlfriend Kaede was just hung to death. The worst part is: I couldn't stop it. I was tied down to a chair, forced to watch her die, her cries were so desperate, and there was nothing I could do about it.

I realized I was crying sooner rather than later, so I decided to go grab some tissues from my desk. I looked down at my phone, and it read four in the morning, which was much later than I thought it was. I think Kaede wakes up around now, maybe i can tell her about it. She said it's good for me to open up, and the last time I had a bad dream she helped me through it, so maybe she can again.

I walked over to Kaedes' dorm room, where I heard a piano playing softly. I recognize this song, this is clair de lune, Kaede's favorite song. I knocked softly, tears still on my cheeks. The song stops, and footsteps come towards the door "I swear if it's you again Ouma-'' Maki looked to see Kaede's hair in a cute messy bun, with some shorts and a shirt that had a music joke."Oh hey hun! Sorry, I thought you were Ouma, he keeps coming really early in the morning playing weird bass boosted music." I silently made a note to kill Ouma later. "Oh sorry, I can go back to my room if you want, sorry if I'm bothering you." I almost start to leave, when Kaede grabs me by the wrist "Nope! I want some time with my beloved girlfriend who has decided to wake up early just for me!" Kaede pulled me into the room, while I was a blushing mess from the statement she just made.

Kaede's POV

"So, you don't normally wake up early, and the last time you did, it was a bad dream. Imma take a guess and assume you had a bad dream?" I say to Maki, as I sit her down on my bed, taking both her hands into mine. "Yeah, this time, it had you in it though." Maki looked down, as though she was ashamed. "Well, I'll make you a deal, I'll cuddle with you and we can listen to some music until you're ready, to say, and it's fine if you don't tell me, I just wanna make sure you feel better." Maki looks back up, tears rolling down her cheeks "Really?" I give her a gentle hug. "Yup! Let's do it! What do you wanna listen to? I could grab one of your cd's, or I could grab one of mine-" ''Actually, I really wanna listen to one of your recordings of you playing. Would that be okay?" I blushed, knowing she picked my music over anything else. "U-um yeah! I'll find one on my phone. I went over to the small keyboard in my room, where I had left my phone below it. "Alrighty, do you remember Moonlight Sonata?" I looked up, as Maki was starting to lay down. "Maybe, but if you're playing it, it's gonna be better than anything else." Oh god shes so cute (ﾉ∀'♥)- "Ok, here it is!" I press play, and the song starts playing out from my phone, as I put it down, and head over to my bed to snuggle with Maki. I lay down to see her crying already. "Shhhhhh, it's okay hun, you're okay, it was just a dream, it can't hurt you." I put my chin on top of her head, holding her close. We stayed like this for a few minutes. After a while, I noticed she stopped crying, and had her eyes closed. "Maki?" "Yeah?" "Oh sorry, did I wake you?" She sighed and said "No, I was just listening to the song. It's really beautiful, even if you didn't write it, the fact that you can play something so beautiful is amazing..." Maki starts to cry again, pulling me into a tight hug. "I don't want you to die Kaede!" I realized she was talking about her dream, and then proceeded to calm her down "It's okay Maki, i'm right here, and i love you so much and-" Maki interrupted me "Keade, you died playing clair de lune, hanging from a noose. This stupid bear forced me to watch it, and i couldn't close my eyes, and it hurt, and you sounded so deprate a-and I-i.." Maki burst out crying, more than I had ever seen before. "Maki, listen, I would never leave you like that, no person in the world could make me." She looks up at me "R-really?" I look down to see her eyes, full of hope. "Really."

3rd person POV

"Thanks Kaede, for everything." Maki had said. Both girls had changed into their uniforms, (Both of them keep extra uniforms in their dorms for stuff like this) And were both in the common room eating breakfast. "No problem hun, what are girlfriends for?" Keade giggled, and ate some more of the pancakes that kirumi had made for the rest of the class. Slowly, everyone began filing into the common room, couples, individuals, and groups of friends. Kaede saw Shuichi and Ouma walk in together, and Kaede waved them over. Kaito had joined at some later point, sitting down next to Shuichi and Kaede. Maki had been yelling at Ouma for waking up Kaede in the mornings, Shuichi and Kaito had started talking about an assignment that was due that day. And Kaede sat there, holding her girlfriends hand, knowing at that moment, Kaede and Maki were meant to be, no matter what anyone else said.
