At first, Minhee really started to hate Taeyoung and Jungmo for making him climb the tree to get the baseball that got stuck in the tree that, and might he add, was thrown by none other than Koo Jungmo himself. He didn't get why they made him do it instead of doing it themselves.
Minhee was very certain he loathes the both of them when he fell and broke his arm, but now that they walked into the room with genuinely guilty faces with lots of boxes of pizza along with them, he became certain that he could forgive them.
And now, just about 2 hours after finding a small garden in the small hospital, he honestly wants to thank the two idiots.
Because among the all the pretty and colorful flowers, he's found his favorite one so far. The moment Minhee stumbled upon the garden with just a bench, he spotted you, peacefully resting on the very bench.
And the moment he sat next to you, Kang Minhee has never felt so alive. Especially in a hospital. It became all too hot, despite the cool breeze, his cheeks heating the second he sat next to you and glanced at your peaceful expression.
You talked, for days on end what it seemed, softly discussing the smallest things about each other. How Minhee broke his arm because of his very clumsy friends, and how you ended up having such a bad fever from all the stress you had gone throughout the week.
It felt nice, to finally rest and find such a peacefully little escape in a place you never thought you'd find comfort in. And you especially didn't think you would come across a very cute guy, with smiles that seem to kill.
Minhee notices how your smile lingered whenever you stare at his little eye smiles. You know he notices, and you frankly don't care.
In the midst of your small conversation about the cat cafe near his dorm, a voice softly disrupts his proposal to go together, "Miss Y/n?"
You two turn around, only to be met by a nurse, with a gentle gaze, calling out for you. "Yes?"
"Doctor Kim would like one last check up with you, is that alright?"
You instantly nod at the young nurse, before you bid her goodbye when an elderly man suddenly trips on the TV chord and lands on the carpet with laughs. You can't understand old people, but you're sure you will in the future.
Once you turn back to Minhee, he has a small smile curling on his lips, his uninjured arm shooting up to wave at you. "I'll see you around?"
"Ah, about that, I'm discharging tomorrow."
At that, Minhee's smile grows smaller, almost bittersweet, before it forms into a small adorable 'o' when you chuckle and pull out a pen from your pocket. You like to keep it in case you're in any kind of danger, or in a situation like this, where you ask Minhee to stick his arm out and scribble your number along with a cat next to it.
"Let's meet up and go to that cat cafe you were talking about, yeah?"
And Minhee can't help but giggle and nod, and brag to Taeyoung and Jungmo how he was able to get a phone number from a cute girl.
He can't wait to be discharged.
