   It's Wednesday night and I haven't really got India alone at all. Damn, I can't even get her on the phone. I gave up on being cute and started calling her phone. Still no answer.

It's crazy because at school she's so chill, so cool. We talk all class. Today she brought some sand for the project.. but something was off about her.

She was kinda quiet, distracted by her phone.. she had on makeup. She doesn't usually wear makeup, but she looked cute.

She caught me looking at her and put her phone down.

"What?"

"Nothing, I've just never seen you with makeup on, you look cute"

She shifted in her chair slightly "thanks. I just wanted to look a little different today."

"Well you look good.. oh shit, I almost for got. I brought something for you."

I said going through my bookbag.

I pulled out a sausage biscuit that I warmed up for her before I left and a bottle of juice.

"That's so sweet, you didn't have to" she smiled a little.

"Nah, you said you be hungry in the morning. I just thought I'd look out."

"Well thank you" she smiled sweetly taking it from me.

I could tell she was trying not to eat too fast but she was definitely hungry.

We left class agreeing to get on the phone later and maybe start the paper that we have to submit with the assignment... and like I said, she never answered.

At this point I stopped trying. I put some music on and started painting another album cover.

My phone started ringing and I put the brush down quick as fuck.

"Hey wassup?"

"Heyyy Yas, what you doing?"

"Shit nothing, chillen."

"These kids driving me crazy" she groaned.

"It's crazy that I'm a child yet I gotta play the momma"

"Damn, where yo momma at?"

"Out with her 'friend' ... AYE put that shit down!" She yelled. "Momma said I'm in charge while she gone, so I will beat yo ass!"

I rolled my eyes I ain't want to stay on the phone hearing this shit.

"Tat?"

"Yea?"

"You know where India is?"

I guess she ain't like that.

"No. I don't Yas." She said with a slight attitude.

"My bad.. it's just, we suppose to be working on a project together and she ain't answering. She don't ever answer outside of school"

"Okaayyy.. and what am I supposed to do?"

"You think you can call her for me?"

She sucked her teeth. "Yea, sure. She probably not gonna answer me either though." She said hanging up.

Damn, what did she mean by that? I thought they were cool. Their on the team together, she was over at their house, they be hanging out.. why would she not answer her?
