A Not So Normal Day At The Cafe

Fun loved his job! Working at the time travel cafe was amazing! It was quite literally a teleporting cafe and if you were chosen to work here by Clockwork or some other time god you couldn't leave. Which wasn't a problem for Fun or his co worker/roommate Dan and the other employees who came in and out from the time travelers hotel or if you were Dan. Time jail. Which was totally wrong since it wasn't really a jail it was just a place. Where they lived. I mean it was better than being in a Thermos ! He snorted or being stuck without your other half because he got caught by the GIW. Clockwork luckily had pity on him which was why he was here. Actually speaking of being here. He smiled as his roomy walked in and waved. "Yo! DAN! You cooking or doing customer service?" Dan snorted and rolled his eyes while heading to the back "What do you think?" I just laughed before finishing up and taking my place at the cafe register.

A few more employees walked in while we waited and then it was time for the customers. Now depending on the timeline and the place we could have all kinds of different people but today's theme was My Hero Academia. But from what I'd heard there was a twist here. Although Clocky wouldn't tell me what it was. Oh and that is another thing. Everyday we get one of the time gods in to tell us which universe it is and sign up the workers for the shifts. Currently we have six workers and i'm the manager. I smile brightly as we serve the customers and it's all going well until he walks in. He is wearing a dark cloak and looks quite haggard when he walks up and asks for a black coffee. I oblige and have pity on the poor soul as he sits down so I walk over and shove my hands in my pockets. "So. Rough day?" He nods without looking up. "Been chasing vigilantes all day. I don't like doing it but... someone has to stop them." I sighed before leaning against the chair opposite of the mystery man and nodding. "Vigilantes. Seems like they roughed you up." The hero I was guessing nodded and then stood up. "Well I should probably head out. Justice doesn't stop because I do unfortunately." I laughed and nodded. "Preach my dude." I patted him on the shoulder before heading back to my job. "BLACK! Are you serious! It's called customer service! Not you service! GET BACK TO WORK BRO!" Black flipped me off before going back to his coffee. I groaned and then the mystery man chuckled behind me. "Would you like a hand?" I shook my head and turned around and I froze when I met a pair of mirthful green-eyes. Clockwork be damned. I took a deep breath to collect myself before answering. Fuck. I still squeaked. "Yeah! Would be super. Dude." I grinned like a maniac at my own stupid joke and then Dan shouted. "You did not just make that joke in my fine establishment!" I flipped him off and Black laughed and finally got off his ass. Lazy good for nothing wannabe god. Infront of me Super seemed frozen and then he disappeared. Damnit! I ruined it again. Because you see I kind of have a record. I can't help it. Ever since I lost my other half I've kinda just been instinctively looking for a replacement. Which isn't my fault! But so far I've scared every potential replacement off by getting too comfortable. Which I guess I should expect. Since falling for yourself is weird and unusual but how could I help myself? Super was just so super! I sighed before sitting down. I missed him. Behind me Black sighed. "So what is this? The fifth one? I mean damn." I growled but didn't answer and then Steven walked up. "Awe. Fun it's okay." Black laughed. "Okay!? This is the fastest he's been rejected!" I frowned and glared but didn't answer. Which was when Boruto snorted from the cash register. "Guys. Leave him alone. We still have work to do." I groaned as I remembered. Work. I could mope later. I sighed once before walking back to my station in the back to make sure Dan was doing his job. I swear nobody here has any work ethic!

It was later when were back at home in our rooms when Clockwork sent everyone a message. Apparently the cafe was going to be staying in this universe for a week for "reasons" I narrowed my eyes. I didn't trust it. Clockwork was up to something. I took my phone out and joined the timetravel chat.

Steven: Lol well I guess we should just enjoy the reprieve from Villain Izuku while we can.

Dan: I hate you all. Also did anyone see how fast fun got dumped today?
Fun: DAN!
Steven: I saw it. Oof.
Black: Are you kidding me it was hilarious.
Zamasu: I wish I could of been there.
Fun: Maybe next time?
Zamasu: I'll sign up for tomorrow
Fun: Okay. Well I think Clockwork has me and Dan presigned since he is head chef and I'm head barista so we will see how it goes.
Dan: I still can't believe Izuku used to be head chef...

Which was when the chat turned off for the night at it's designated time of 11:00pm. I yawned and got ready for bed taking my super plushie with me. Which everyone who knew about it found weird but I didn't care. It was all I had to remember him by and I would never let it go. He had made it for me himself the week before being captured saying he was going to be gone for awhile since he was going on a special mission and even now I cry just remembering it. His confident face. Those green eyes glowing proudly as I kissed him goodbye one last time. I cried myself to sleep that night. I hated it when Clockwork did this. Sent me to Super Danny universes and now he was making it worse by making me stay. It sucked.
