"Good night Caz" Calum chuckled at the nickname his best friend Ellie gave him
"Good night Ellie, sweet dreams" Calum hung up and put his phone on his brown wood bedside table that had some pens, song lyrics he wrote for his ex ,his phone charger and a small white lamp that he got as a 'promotion gift' from his fellow co-worker.
Calum turned off his lamp in hopes of getting some hours of sleep but he knew that wasn't going to happen since there was no one to keep him warm at night since his boyfriend left him and there wasn't anyone that could fill up his boyfriends position.
~3 hours later ~
Tossing and turning, Calum didn't sleep he even cried at how miserable and weak he was without his boyfriend Michael, he realized how dependent he was on Michael for happiness, that's why Calum didn't like getting attached to someone because as soon as they leave you feel just feel lost and wretched.
Calum thought about something Michael said to him when they were walking in the cold with their hands laced together perfectly. It was almost magical how their hands fit perfectly like they were made specifically for each other.
"Do you like flowers?" He asked, his features enhanced with the touch of snow
"No." Calum thought he was the only one who didn't like flowers, not even roses.
"Why not?" Michael was curious
"They depend on too many things like the sun and water, they are too weak to survive on their own."
"Just like you."
"Just like me? What makes you say that?" Calum raised his left eyebrow.
"Yeah, just like you because I am basically the only source of happiness that you have" Michael sounded confident.
"Oh Michael, you are going wrong somewhere, I defiantly don't depend on you for anything but all I know is that you rely on me for happiness"
"I know you better than you know your self, we'll see who's the one dependent one if we break up" Calum's loud chuckle filled the empty air
Calum accepted the fact that Michael was right, Calum relied on Michael for happiness but he didn't know that until 2 months ago when Michael decided to leave Calum.
