When the duel was over I got called to Mr.Sayers lab so I can get tested. It wasn't for another serious just to see where my physics abilities stand as of now. First thing I had to do was change out of my regular Arcadia Movement uniform and into a pair of shorts so I can hop right into this tub and get scanned.

"Alright (y/n) just relax. It'll be over before you know it."- Sayer

"Got it."- (y/n)

"Now (y/n) I want you to close your eyes and relax. Try and drift off to sleep."- Sayer

Doing as he said I shut my eyes and started to hear something.

If I didn't know better I'd say I'm underwater. I opened my eyes and saw that I was, I felt around my body and everything felt normal. No gills, no Finn, no tail, nothing I didn't want to was time in one place so I started to swim around. I have to say it didn't take long for me to get here. Normally I'd have to be in bed or something but, this was easy. I'm actually kinda sad I didn't get to see that little girl and fox again. However I did hear something move around behind me. I quickly turned around and saw nothing that was until I heard a roar and the sound of a symphony or something.

I have finally woken up from my sleep and started to look around frantically and saw I was back in the Arcadia Movement. What was all that and why did it feel so familiar, like I've been in that place and heard that sound before.

"Is everything alright in there (y/n)?"- Sayer

"Yeah I'm fine. I just had a little scare is all."-

"I see. What did you see? Whatever it was there to make you readings go up. Did you see anything that might help us understand it better?"- Sayer

I've read somewhere that being underwater might hint that you're overwhelmed with emotion and wishing you could go back to a time where you were a dependent soul, free of any responsibilities or the burdens of your own mind. The problem is I don't really feel like that, I mean it does bug me that I can't remember anything that far back. But I wouldn't say I'm not losing sleep over it.

"No I didn't see anything. It was like I was under water but, I could breathe."- (y/n)

"I see. Go work for today. Also I have something very important I want to tell you. In two days there's a tournament coming up and I want you to go with Akiza."- Sayer

"Sir, are you saying you want me to enter the tournament?"- (y/n)

"No, nothing like that. You see I want you to go with Akiza to be her bodyguard. She seems to trust you and wouldn't let anyone else go with her."- Sayer

"So she asked for me!?"- (y/n)

"Hehehe, no it's just a simple matter of me being very observant."- Sayer

"Oh."- (y/n)

Geez way to get my hopes up. And here I was thinking she actually requested me to go with her. Come on (y/n) get your head on straight, even so being her bodyguard by myself would probably be difficult.

"If I may sir I'd like to bring two more people with me."- (y/n)

"Your friends Liquid and Okita right? I'll allow it. And one last thing, in a few hours I want you and a keys to have a dual."- Sayer

"I'm sorry what!? Sir, I don't think I'd be much of a challenge for her. I mean I'm not really that good of a duelist I just don't want to win by dumb luck."- (y/n)

"Don't say that about yourself you are a powerful duelist. And I believe you can help Akiza control her powers."- Sayer

(Clearly he is talking out of his ass but the reader don't know that.)

The pod opened and I stepped out grabbing a towel and drying myself off. I started to put on my clothes and walk out into the hallway.

'So I have to duel Akiza huh? I don't get what Sayer hope to accomplish with this duel. Compared to the other guys on the weakest out of the three of them. I mean yeah I do win some of our duels but that's just because they have bad hands and stuff like that. Honestly I don't really think dueling is my thing I'm not even a good psychic.'- (y/n)

I wasn't watching where I was going and ran into somebody. It was actually the the person I'm gonna have to guard.

"Hey Akiza, sorry for running into you."- (y/n)

"Just watch when are you going next time."- Akiza

I took a better look at her and saw she and saw that she was holding her arm. I couldn't tell if she was hurt or not so I just lightly took her hand lightly.

"What are you doing?"- Akiza

"Just wanted to see if you were hurt. But judging from your reaction I guess you're fine. Did something happen while you were out?"- (y/n)

"Don't worry about it I'm fine."- Akiza

"Are you sure?"- (y/n)

"Yes."- Akiza

There she goes again putting up her wall. I wish she would open up a little bit more to me. But, to be fair to her I didn't dig to deep into her past life so I'm in the dark.

"Akiza, you know you don't have to lie to me. But, considering your very fixated on not telling me, I won't ask anymore."- (y/n)

"........ thanks. So where are you off to."- Akiza

"I was going to my room for a bit. But, Sayer told me about the tournament and stuff. Also he told me he wanted the both of us to duel for your upcoming tournament."- (y/n)

Hearing that Akiza's eyes widened and I saw she tightened her grip on her arm.

"I.....I see."- Akiza

"I'll be fine just relax. I trust you Akiza."- (y/n)

"You shouldn't have so much faith in me. I could easily slip up and hurt you like I do others."- Akiza

"Sorry to disappoint you, but that's not my style. Anyway I'll see you soon bestie."- (y/n)

"What did I tell you about that!?"- Akiza

Her yell falled to deaf ears as (y/n) kept walking away chuckling. The two might be friends, but Akiza draws the line when it comes to saying stuff like bestie and other things.
