Tears...

Tears fell as the sirens blared in the background.

The cleanse was happening and on all sides, you could feel danger and hear the dying screams of other demons.

Tears were always a part of the cleanse.

"Promise me you'll be back soon Bill...please!"

"I...I promise my love...goodbye for now...." And with that, the one person who truly loved me and who I loved back just as much was left behind in an almost inescapable wasteland...

I ventured into an unknown universe with hopes of one day bringing her with me. To safety...away from the foul land, we had called home together for centuries... Hell...

                                                                                      ☾❀☽

Awoken with a start, Bill sat up, his eye opened wide as he scanned the second dimension where he temporarily called home. It wasn't truly home though, it was as if something was always missing, and he knew the source of this feeling. He had no idea how long he had stayed in this flat plane as time worked differently here in the universe he had traveled to.

As he tried to calm his short breaths he recalled the dream though it fit more into the category of a memory than anything...he had been holding someone, a woman, close to him and...she had been holding him in return...he did not see who she was though he was certain of her identity.

The only person that could make anyplace home for him. He knew of only one person, who possessed the strange voice which sounded as if it was coming out of an old 1930's radio, strange but comforting in a sense. She had only used her normal human voice when it was the two of them or her trusted friends Husker and Nifty. As he recalled the way her auburn curls bounced slightly when she laughed or when she had first let her guard down around him enough to show him her human form.

He whispered her name.

The name of his one true love...

"Allison...."

"I will find you and get you out of that place...I promise"

"Allison!!!" Vaggie yelled from the kitchen startling me from my afternoon reading break. Sighing, I put my book down and got up to leave my room. As I passed the mirror on my way to the door I noticed the dark bags that had begun to form under my eyes from lack of proper rest. Looking down I pulled my crimson red hair out of its loose ponytail and shook my head to get all my hair down.

Putting on my usual smile and left the dark security of my hotel room. As I passed Angel Dust, who was most likely coming up to get me, on my way down he turned around.

"Yo smiles! Wha'd ya do this time?"

Taking a small breath I replied as calmly as I could fighting to keep my fatigue and exasperation out of my voice.

"Why I haven't the faintest clue so I suppose we shall be finding out together." My voice calm and signature smile still showed as we walked down the grand double spiraling staircase, separated by the main lobby desk situated right in the middle of the two stairs.

As we walked down I admired the renovations and how clean Nifty had been able to get the once filthy lobby to the state it was in now. She had to admit, Nifty has great taste. The hotel entrance now had a grand feel but not enough to sway one from staying, just enough to look nice and still feel welcoming.

At the foot of the stairs was Vaggie with her usual annoyed look, Charlie next to her trying to calm her friend, while Nifty was sat on top of the reception desk; a stack of books in her lap, and Husker at the bar looking over what was about to unfold.

"Yes, Miss.Vagitha...what do you need from me?" The deer demon questioned as Angel went over to the bar and sat on one of the stools lining it, focusing his attention back on the two ladies.

Vaggie pulled out her spear pointing it straight towards Allison's heart as Charlie let out a surprised squeak.

Though besides slightly widening her eyes at the threat and lifting an eyebrow in amusement, Allison had no reaction to being threatened by the other demon.

"My, my...whatever is your reason for such a rash reaction Miss.Vagitha?" Allison asked, curiosity making its way into the undertones of her question though not enough to be suspected by the others.

"You filthy no good perra con cara de ciervo!" Vaggie exclaimed, annoyed, speaking quickly and turning to Spanish halfway through the sentence.

Though unable to understand what exactly was said Allison had an idea that it was an insult.

"You are an evil, manipulative, and conniving hijo de un ciervo malvado! You told Katie Killjoy, THE head reporter of 666 News, false information about the hotel! No one within 3 rings will stay here now!" Vaggie exclaimed, anger seemingly radiating off of her in waves.

General confusion crossed Allison's face, this time though her mood shift was noticed by the other demons in the room.

"Don't go trying to fake innocence on us now you two-faced backstabbing no good freak deer!" Vaggie yelled under the impression that Allison was faking such a reaction.

Alison's ears seemed to drop slightly and her smile seemed more forced as she said her next words. "I'll be taking my leave now everyone. If you would please pardon me and I do hope you calm down a bit Vagitha..."

And with that, the slender doe stepped up the stairs so quickly it was almost running...

"Yo spear freak...do 'ya get off on others misery or something or just hers?" Angel called standing up from the bar a frown plastered on his face.

"Whatever the perra deserved it anyways '', Vaggie said with a roll of her eyes as she turned and left.

"Yeah but wait up Vags! Don't you think you were a bit too harsh? I mean we don't actually know it was Allison who did it do we?" Charlie called racing after Vaggie to try to reason with her.

Nifty spoke up, "hey um...Husk do you think I could go check on Allison? I'm kinda worried....'

Though he would never admit such a thing and would most certainly deny any accusations proving it, Husk did have a soft spot for the deal-making demon. She had helped him in times of trouble more times than he cared to count and stuck by him through thick and thin. And though she didn't like to show it much, Husk knew there was a much softer side to Allison.

"Let's wait a bit. She probably could use some personal time to calm down..."
