I lay here looking out the window wishing I know where Kurai is and why these stupid cops won't let me go home to my beloved. The birds outside are chirping and the trees look so peaceful in the breeze-less night. The female cop is sitting in the corner of the room keeping a watch on me. No doubt she's trying to catch me trying to escape. I wish I could kill her right here and now but I think that might throw a wrench in Kurai's plans if he has any. Unfortunately, I have no choice but to be here and do nothing. Ugh, I hate feeling this useless. The male cop bursts through the door with a worried look on his face. He bends down next to the girl and whispers something in her ear. They probably think I can't hear them.

"The precinct is in a predicament. A man in a mask claims he caught the man who beat her."

He nods his head in my direction.

"So? There's no way we'd believe that is there? I mean why would we trust someone in a mask?"

"He threatened the receptionist. He said if we didn't respond to his word he would start killing cops until we did."

"Even more of a reason not to trust him. We should arrest him not take his word for what he claims. Have you lost your mind?"

"This order comes straight from the chief, not me."

"Fine."

She gives me one last glare then leaves the room with the other officer. Oh my dearest baby, he's come to my rescue. My blood rushes to my cheeks and I can feel the heat in my face as I blush. He's my knight in black armor. I love him. I have to see him. I can't stand not seeing him. The nurse said I'm fine to leave as soon as the cops say so. How about I leave before they return. I giggle with anticipation of seeing my beloved again. I rip the IV out of my arm and stand up. The blood rushes out of my head and I get dizzy for a second or two but other than that I feel no damage. I reach the door and open it a bit to see if any other guards were posted outside my room. There's no one there so I walk out. As I walk to the exit my nurse stops me.

"Did they say you could leave sweety?"

I take control of her blood and force her to walk next to me. I'm so drained of energy I need to refill.

"Why yes they did but I'm not feeling normal would you walk me out please?"

"Why. Yes. I. Would love to."

I force her to continue walking with me. Her speech isn't as fluid as I can usually get it to be. Probably because I don't have full control due to exhaustion. We reach the front door and I walk her to the nearest ally and release her.

"What the hell was that? It felt awful. What are you?"

"I'm just the beloved of the man you falsely accused of being the one to beat me. I'm also the one who is going to be your killer."

I smile at her. It's a very innocent and sweet smile. She gets a tantalizingly terrified look on her face as I start pulling the blood out of her every pore. The crimson liquid oozing out and into a ball floating in the air. Her body begins to deflate like a balloon with her skin shrinking and getting horrible wrinkles all over. She looks so ugly. I can't stand looking at her. As the last of her blood comes seeping out she collapses to the pavement. Her misshapen form contorted into a terrible pretzel-like shape. I check her pockets and take everything she had, hopefully, it could be useful somehow. I pick her up with the gloves she had in her pocket and throw her into the hospital dumpster. This way they can't ID me if they find her body. I take the ball of blood and start guzzling it down as fast as I can. The ball is gone within two minutes. I didn't realize how much I was craving it until now. It tastes so sweet and metallic leaving a tangy taste in my mouth afterward.
