The elevator door opens and Chenle steps out with agent Jeong. The lobby is reminiscent of the Chinese imperial palace but embellished with modern accents, an architectural feature that Beijing boasts with its rich cultural background. The floor is inlaid with pure white onyx, pieces of mother of pearl and abalone shell arranged in intricate patterns. The high ceiling is decorated with cascading chandeliers that breaks light apart, bursting it into lustrous gold. It contrasted luxuriously with the vivid red pillars that they passed by whilst walking to the hotel's exit. The younger went to the other side of the vehicle as Jeong took the keys from the valet before opening the door for him. Fixing his suit as he ducked down, he waited silently inside the car for the agent to start the engine. Earlier this afternoon, the concierge brought them a letter which contained the address of their meeting place with Mr. Huang at five. Eyes vigilantly darting from the entire span of the road, dread sank deeper in his stomach. "Something's not right," he spoke to the man beside him.
"Mhm," the older tipped his head in agreement. The road feels too peaceful, the kind of calm before a storm. Investigating their surroundings, he could see that several cars are scattered sparsely on the road. Speeding up to test the waters, he caught the subtle drifts that aimed to block his path. "So this is how they want to play?" He gritted his teeth. Sharply swerving to slip through the space in between two cars right ahead, the ones at the back advances and are promptly joined by more vehicles to cram the entire stretch of the street. The engine revved, working to increase the gap. "Hold on Mr. Park," he murmured.
Chenle smiled at the sound of his surname, igniting a sense of resolute. Today, he will make sure to have the business proposal signed, he did not part from his husband to fail. "Let's hurry in giving them what they want. We will make them pay anyway," he calmly instructed.
Heeding the advice, Jeong took the narrowest path to their destination. This way they will have lesser chances of being lured further away from Beijing's boundaries. Snaking through the tight alleys, entering a mix of residential and restaurant areas, they waited for the opponent to take the bait. He kept this for almost an hour until the enemy caught up, blocking the only entrance. "First gentleman are you ready?" The agent spoke giving him a metal baton.
Going out of the car the two moved forward, defense at full capacity. Most of the men that approached them held improvised weapons; sport equipments, tools and construction materials. Although hidden in their suits is a gun sheathed within the shoulder holster, they opt for the lesser blunt weapons to minimize damage. Aided by the limited passage, the men were forced to come at them in few numbers at a time.
"Ha!" An alpha from the group charged first, pitching his shovel towards the two whilst pointing the cutting edge at Chenle. It was clear from his stance that he's quite untrained.
Using this to his advantage, the omega calculatedly dodged the blow while he powerfully flicked the body of his baton breaking the radius and fracturing the ulna of the guy. Exploiting the distraction while he shrieked in pain, he hurled another blow on his unguarded chest, forcing him to stagger backwards. One final strike on his biceps and Chenle moved forward lifting the shovel off the ground, using it to pave a way for himself while the other hand smacks whoever moves against him.
Jeong took actions as well. He wields the T-baton, a paired melee weapon, and took care of those who carried sharp tools making sure they never get close to the younger. Switching from both defense and offense capabilities of his weapon with ease, he can easily support his hands while dispensing fatal jabs at the vulnerable parts of his foe whenever needed.
