They'd Be Good For Each Other

We were both crying, or really sobbing actually. After awhile she took me to the break room and we talked.

"So, what's up, what do you need?" "I missed my sister, is that a crime?" "Well, I missed you, too" "I feel like there's a but coming" "But, what's going on, you don't look healthy, Evie, you've changed a lot"

"Nothing is going on, I'm perfectly fine, ok?" "Promise" "Yeah" What I forgot was that I always said yeah to the promise when I lied. I basically just outed myself.

"Your lying" "I'm not, don't make me regret coming" "Fine, but I'll get it out of you" "Ok, but there's nothing to get out of me" "Mhm we'll see about that" She said, a smirk on her face with an eyebrow raised.

"Is that... your stuff?" I look down, tears in my eyes. "Yeah, um, I couldn't be with who I was with anymore, and I used the rest of my money on the taxi here" "Well what happened with that one guy? What was his name... Max?"
I nod and tears form in my eyes.

"Things didn't work out for us" "I'm sorry" "No, no don't worry about it" I wipe away the tears that were falling and put on the fake smile that I've been putting out for years.

"Stay with me" "No, I just needed somewhere to bring it while we caught up, so that nobody stole it. Not that there's really anything in there, he kept everything" "Who?" "Don't worry about it, it's not a big deal, um but seriously I'll be fine at a hotel" I say, starting to break again.

"What is it?" "I can't tell you!" "Why? Evie?" "Because he threatened me!" Her face turned from worry to anger, the second I said that.

"Who?" "I can't" "Evie, this is one of the most important things you can ever tell, you can save someone else" "What if he... Kills me?" "He won't, I, nor my team, will let that happen" "JJ, I'm scared, I can't" "Ok, fine" "I'm sorry" I cry, hyperventilating.

"Hey, it's ok, calm down, come here" She said, hugging me. "Are you... disappointed in me?" "No, I know your scared... When's the last time you slept?" "I don't know, 3 days" "Here lay down and get some rest" "Will you stay until I fall asleep?" "Yeah, of course"

As soon as she was asleep I went to Hotch and told him what she told me. Of course we can't do anything without a name or anything. But, she's scared and I'm not going to force her to do it if she's this scared.

"I'm not gonna put my sister through the pain and torture that she was just going through when I was begging her to tell me who it was... Hotch, she was a mess! Hyperventilating, having a panic attack, I'm sorry but I'm not having her go through that" "JJ, we have no other way of getting his name"

"Find one" I say, going back to the break room to see Reid talking to her.
She was laying down with a smile on her face. A smile I haven't seen in a long time. Not even when she saw me.

"I think they have a thing for each other" I hear Morgan whisper in my ear. "He's just trying to make her feel better" I say, even though I know he's most likely right.

"Mhm, look at the smile on pretty boy's face" "Yes, Morgan I see it" He shakes his head and chuckles. I think he'd be good for her and she'd be good for him.
