As they made their way back into the fort after speaking to each other in private, Robin and Rosemarie walked inside to see Chrom with Morgan. Having learned about the advanced magic training he'd been doing with the young queen, he was happy the teen prince was now more skilled at defense. Lucina didn't have to defend him as often anymore. At that moment, Frederick walked on over to them. "My lord, do you want me to send Lady Rosemarie to Plegia Castle so she can get the last gemstone we need for our country's treasured shield?", he asked him. "Yes and please have our soldiers go with her for protection.", he replied and Rosemarie told Crystal to stay there and keep herself out of trouble while she was gone before she left the fort with the soldiers. Meanwhile, inside the Plegian castle, Validar was looking at the world outside from the castle balcony when Aversa joined him. "Master Validar.", she said and he turned. "What is it, Aversa?", he asked her. "Your soldiers told me Queen Rosemarie is on her way here with some of Ylisse's soldiers. Do you want them to set a trap she'll easily fall into?", she replied. "Yes.", he said and she left. Once they arrived at the castle entrance, the soldiers waited outside while Rosemarie went to get the last of the five gemstones. But when she stepped inside, she sensed something was wrong and had her suspicions confirmed when a sorcerer blasted dark magic at her. She came flying out of the castle entrance from the dark magic. "Your Grace!", the soldiers said and she turned to them. Back at the fort, Rosemarie's allies waited for her to return for a while before they left and made their way over to the castle entrance, where they saw the soldiers out cold. They ran into the castle, where Validar ordered some of his soldiers to eliminate them all. After killing the soldiers, they come across the vain sorcerer. "Where is Rosemarie?!", Robin asked him. "I already transferred her to the Dragon's Table and I'm taking your kingdom's treasure there with me to revive Master Grima with it!", he replied before he invaded Robin's mind to have her steal the binding shield from Chrom and give it to him. He put the last gemstone in it and teleported away.
