chapter seven

lexie stared at george with raised eyebrows, "i don't know crap about magic, so wherever you please."

"i'll show you around the shop," george started towards the bright pink display near the front, "these are love potions, slip them into someone's drink and they'll be bound to fall in love with you."

lexie quickly put down the heart shaped bottle after hearing george's explanation of the potion.

"this is our new potion i came up with," george spoke happily while holding up a thin black vile, "basically a liquid form of a memory eraser spell. be careful, one touch and it all goes away."

george had showed lexie the rest of the potions and prank items, lexies cheeks hurt from smiling so much at the brilliant ideas that were in this shop.

george settled behind the counter as the rest of the customers bustled about the store, lexie leaned against the other side.

"so, harry's a wizard, does that mean he has some kind of wizard job?" lexie questioned slowly.

george chuckled, "yea, he's an auror. basically the wizard version of police. he catches all the bad guys and stuff." he explained.

"really? isn't that dangerous?"

"yea, but he's basically the whole reason the wizarding world is safe nowadays."

lexie stared at him with furrowed eyebrows, "i don't understand what you mean?"

"oh, he hasn't old you about that," he started awkwardly, "so a while ago there was this guy. his name was voldemort. he wanted to cleanse the wizarding world of all of those who weren't born a pure blooded wizard, which meant killing millions. there was a prophecy written about harry before he was born that he would be the one to defeat voldemort.

"voldemort killed both of harry's parents, and had tried to kill harry multiple times, but was unsuccessful every time. harry's the only person to ever survive the killing curse, there was a wizarding war a couple years back. lots of people were killed, harry's the reason we won."

"oh my god." lexie spoke slowly.

"i know, it's a lot."

"did you lose anyone, in the battle i mean."

george look at lexie with a pained smile, "yea, yea my twin brother, fred. we started this shop together, i run it for the both of us."

"i'm really sorry."

"you know, i think you guys would've been great friends." george admitted.

lexie observed a smile grow on george's face as he looked over her shoulder, she looked behind her to find his brother ron and his fiancé hermione.

as george walked around the counter to greet them lexie caught sight of a moving photo behind the counter, two red headed twins smiling from behind the counter in their joke shop. lexie smiled to herself before heading to say hi to ron and hermione.

the pairs faces morphed into shock when they saw lexie, "oh! hi lexie!" hermione smiled while hugging her tightly.

lexie, surprised by the sudden outburst, hugged back just as tight. "hi hermione, it's nice to see you. you as well ron."

"where's harry?" hermione questioned.

lexie glanced at george, "he had a work thing?"

"mate finally told you about magic, huh?" ron questioned.

lexie gave a small chuckle before shrugging, "yea, i suppose so."

just then harry strolled through the shop door, his eyes scanned the shop before finding his group of friends.

"hi gorgeous." harry greeted with a smile.

"hi lovie," lexie gave harry a quick kiss on the lips before intertwining their hands.

"i see you guys found eachother," harry chuckled while greeting ron, hermione, and george.

"can we go home? i'm really tired." lexie whispered in harry's ear.

harry looked at her before nodding, "i think we're gonna head home, it's been a long day."

"oh alright, we should all get dinner together one night, i bet it would be a blast." hermione started.

"sounds fun," lexie agreed, "it was nice seeing you all."

hermione gave lexie a quick hug, "we'll catch you guys later." she smiled before the couple left the shop.

once they had left ron turned to hermione, "are you alright darling?"

hermione nodded with a small smile, "yea, yea i just really missed my best friend."

"will you stay over tonight?" lexie asked harry as they entered her flat.

"i would love nothing more." he smiled.

they started towards the bathroom, to take a shower. after agreeing on the temperature and undressing they stood under the hot water together.

"so, george told me you're an auror?" lexie questioned.

harry's eyes widened, "erm- right, yea did he tell you about anything else?" he spread conditioner into lexie's blonde hair.

"he gave a brief description of the backround of you and voldemort."

"yea, that's actually a really long story."

lexies turned around to face harry, "im really sorry about your parents, i didn't know."

he shrugged, "it's alright, but i'd rather not talk about them while we're naked."

lexie slapped his chest while laughing, "oh shut up."

"you're not gonna slip me a love potion or anything after spending the day in the joke shop, are you?"

"please, as if you need one." lexie teased while turning off the shower. she handed harry a towel while taking one for herself.

she wrapped it around herself as he wrapped his around his lower half.

"come here." lexie said quietly while pulling some moisturizer out of the cabinet, she turned to him with a small smile, "skin care." she spread a small blob of the lotion onto his cheeks.

harry had a faint blush spread across his cheeks as he watched lexie spread the moisturizer over his face, before she finished it off with a small peck on the lips.
