"George, darling-" There was a sound of creaky door hinges and George sat up so quickly he's sure he heard his spine pop. "- your father and I are- oh."

"Mom!" George shrieked, scrambling to throw a pillow at the door to close it.

"Good morning, sunshine, " his mom said, smirking where she stood, leaned against the door frame.

"Mom, please for the love of God..."

Meanwhile, Dream had woken up. He sat up much more gracefully than George and the sheets covering him slipped down, revealing his toned chest.

"Is that Clay? From McDonald's?" George's mom asked, still smiling widely.

"Uh," Dream blinked at the woman, and then glanced at George who was absolutely beet red. "Yeah. Guess I am."

"Lovely to meet you! Well, George, your father and I are heading out for brunch and then we'll be in meetings until six, alright? See you tonight!"

George forced himself to smile at his mother, despite the crippling embarrassment. "Bye, mom."

With a final goodbye to both George and Dream, she turned to leave. But she stopped to shoot her son a huge smile, a set of thumbs up and a mouthed 'congratulations' before closing the door.

"Oh my God," George muttered, exhaling heavily.

Next to him, Dream laughed.

"Do you think I made a good first impression?" he smirked.

"You're not funny," George said, glaring at Dream.

The glare didn't last too long, his angry expression melted by Dream's big smile. The blond looked good in the morning, sunlight slipping through the curtains and making his golden hair appear on fire.

"We should talk, yeah?" Dream said gently, breaking the silence that had settled over them.

George nodded and laid down on his side and Dream quickly followed suit. They took a few moments to simply... look at each other. To bask in each other's presence.

"Was yesterday okay?" Dream asked eventually.

George was quick to nod "Yes. I... liked it. A lot. Um. Everything. The names and- and the praise. It was cool, I guess."

"You guess?"

"You know what I mean," George sighed, rolling his eyes. "Just not good with my words."

"It's okay, pup, " Dream said, a small smirk tugging at his red lips.

George whined and buried his face in his pillow out of embarrassment. Dream chuckled, hand coming to rest on George's hip.

"I hate you," George muttered, voice muffled by the sheets.

"That's sad, seeing as I like you quite a lot."

Dream's words made George sit up again. He stared down at the blonde with huge eyes.

"What?"

Dream just hummed, stretching his arms above his head. He was clearly flexing his muscles to impress the brunet, and George was dumb enough to fall for it.

"I like you. I thought that was obvious?" Dream said, crossing his arms behind his head and pillowing his head on them. "I mean. I do want to apologise for kind of acting like a dick to you. I just didn't know how to speak with you."

"So you were rude? I can't believe Wilbur was right," George said, letting out a breathy laugh.

At the mention of another boy's name, Dream frowned and sat up properly. He easily manhandled George into his lap, and George tried not to think about how that made him feel - being moved around so easily by Dream.
