♫ ~ Even though we've grown apart, my brain can't seem to let you go ~ ♫

Sasuke stared at his ceiling for over two hours now, but can't manage to take his normal nap. He called off from work, using the excuse saying that he caught a cold, but it clearly states how torn up he feels in the inside. Tori is getting married, the one who she always had a crush on since high school.

There was that moment when Sasuke found out that she did like him, but that was when he didn't fully know her. Now karma strikes back at him.

He dealt with being her friend ever since, always becoming the shadow in the background. She is so blind with her affections towards the Hyuuga, she never noticed Sasuke always being the one there for her. Even though, he dropped hints but she didn't take notice of it. Knowing that Tori is that oblivious, Sasuke still believes there is a chance for her to realize his feelings.

Is there still hope now? He isn't so sure.

But what will happen if he did confess? How is she going to react? What difference does it make if he told her how he felt before the wedding? If Sasuke can turn back time, he simply would change everything.

His eyes wandered lazily and saw his high quality cellphone resting on his nightstand. An idea formed slowly in his head, but thought deeply twice of what will be the next outcome. He and Tori haven't been out in town in such a long time, ever since graduation. Following his instincts, his hand swiped the motionless phone quickly and dialed the engaged woman's number.

Gulping, Sasuke gently raised his cell to his ear and hear the reciever ring. He needs to hear her voice again before Neji can hog it all to himself after next week. The other line picked up. "Hello?" Instantly, the sound of her calm voice always made him leap out of his sulking phase. Sasuke replied joyfully, "Tori."

"Oh, it's you, Sasuke! You don't usually call in, that's a little strange... Anyways! What's up?" He chuckled by the woman's outspoken thoughts and laid back down on his messy bed. "Listen, Tori, are you busy at the moment?" She trailed her words and a little pause came.

"Er, surprisingly no. Why?" She's free, good... "Join me for coffee," it sounded more like a demand than a question. Sasuke smirked when he heard her making an astonished reaction. She staggered a bit but regained her composure. "Uh sure! At what time?"

"Eleven, if that sounds good to you. And then maybe after we can grab lunch?" He can hear the light giggles in his ear as a smiling Tori appeared in his head. She must have felt that this new grown Sasuke is an offering one. He can feel her grinning behind the phone. "Boy, Sasuke, I never thought you can spoil a lady like that." The Uchiha felt himself blushing, thankfully this is through a phone call, or else Tori will be questioning about his reddened face. He then heard a soft laughter. "I'm just kidding! Yes, eleven is fine and I would love to have lunch with you."

The Raven felt a little relieved that she accepted it. Now his lips moved on its own. "Great, I'll pick you up." He slapped his forehead, there's no room to be Mr. Nice Guy when she's engaged! He heard her humming. "Oh that's alright, Sasuke. I can get there on my own, it's only a block away from my apartment."

Sasuke shuts his eyes, the stupidity rushed through his veins and stammered. "Y-Yeah.. I forgot. See you then."

"Later!"
