Wonderland

Chapter 3: The Awaken

Andre look at all directions alerted by the silence that remained.

        "What's going on?" Tiffany asked quietly, hoping whatever creature that was hiding didn't hear her.

        Protectively, Andre circled around the perimeter.

        "I know this noise. And it's certainly something I haven't heard in a long time," he replied.

        Too mortified to ask any more questions, she raced near Andre's side surveying the area as well.

        "What are you doing? It's too dangerous. Go back and get the books. You can't fight without weapons," he said smiling.

        Tiffany rushed to get the books, but was stopped my the unknown creature that was making the wrenching noises. Tall and covered in black from head to toe stood something. Not a man. Pale skinned, he smiled welcomely showing his sharp white teeth.

        "Am I dreaming, or is this a vampire like in those tv shows and books?" she said.

      "Greetings young lady, I'm..." before he finished, Tiffany quickly said,"My worst nightmare? Trust me, I've has worse."

        "No," he replied,"But welcome back old friend."He was now looking at Andre who gave a heart piercing look to the vampire.

        "Hello Mason, what an unplanned reunion to see you here again," Andre said, keeping his voice steady and strong.

        Andre swiftly attacked Mason with what now he is holding, a sword. Tiffany confused beyond imagining, ran to the nearest tree to get away from the action. Dodging, Mason ran to Andre trying to strangle him in record speed.

        "Andre!" Tiffany cried out, not knowing what else to say or do.

        "Stay where you are! I'll be there in a sec!" he multitasked as he replied to her and held Mason back.

        "Ah, you found your lover Andre. Well, there's something you treasure more than yourself. My time is up, I better be going," Mason said with a slick voice. He went to Tiffany and grabbed her by  the waist.

        "But first, let me take your treasure away." And he disappeared in a flash.
