Both of them stared at each other before jungwon scoffed and ran his fingers through his hair while glaring at her.

"Do you love me that much to the point you know my unit's passcode? "

byeol put her phone down, sniffled and wiped off the tears that was streaming down on her cheeks before she gave him a snort.

"Love you? excuse me mister, who are you even for me to love you? " she fired back and ended with rolling her eyes, slightly mocking at him while her eyes went up and down, eyeing his fashion style which wasn't that bad.

Jungwon frowned at her reply and was left deep in thought. once his mind had an idea to ask, he immediately spoke it out to the girl in front of him.

"if you're not then, what's this unit's passcode? "

"I should be the one asking you, how come you know my passcode? " she emphasised the word 'my' while her eyebrows went up.

"0290, is that yours? "

Byeol's eyes widened as she heard him, "how did you– "

"so we do have the same passcode, " jungwon mumbled under his breath before he sighed and pushed his body, tearing it from the bed.

he moistened his dry lips and looked into the girl's eyes, "look, I'm sorry. Maybe I was mistaken with my old unit plus we have a same passcode so a mistake like that might occurred, "

"I know it was a shitty apology but still, I ask you for a forgiveness. Sorry for barging in your territory and disturbed your moment. " he added after he stepped a one feet away from the door.

Hanbyeol was still processing what just happened in her unit when the boy already opened the door. she then shrieking, telling him to wait and took another bottle of peach water she bought and gave it to him, "here, as an apology for being rude to you. "

jungwon took it without any hesitation as his grandmother always said to not leave someone hanging and leaving them in their own self doubt for their nice action.

"Thank you. I should be the one to give you something though. " The boy said while scratching his head as he thought about his behaviour earlier. He literally barged in someone's house, trespassing although he didn't mean to.

Byeol laughed lightly, "there'll always be a next time, " she joked while throwing a 'friendly' wink to him.

Jungwon looked at the cheerful girl, analysing her expression. and all he could concluded was that she was a strong girl. just when he barged inside, she was weeping, grieving over someone but now she was joking and laughing at him as if she never had any problem in her life. just how strong this girl could be? it was all inside his mind.

Byeol then took one of her favourite snack and pulled his palm to give it to him. she then showed an honest smile to him, showing her cute eye smile.

"This, a gift if you would like to be my friend. I'm Bae Hanbyeol. " She introduced herself without him wanting to. But what to do when this girl was an extrovert, really loved to make a new friend anytime she could.

The high schooler's gaze then turned down as she felt like a butterfly flied around her hand and it shook her when she saw half of his palm disappeared and more butterflies created in exchange for his hand.

they both looked at each other, panic showed in one another's eyes as they both couldn't believe what they were witnessing.

jungwon, however, collecting himself back and smiled at the panicking girl before he introduced himself.

"I'm Yang Jungwon. And maybe we don't have any more time to meet again but it's nice to meet you even for once. "

That was the last voice was heard in that unit other than hanbyeol's voice. the girl panicking while looking around, questioning if her eyes were tricking her or the boy named same as her boyfriend just pranked her and pulled a magic trick to her.

but no, it was real. her eyes weren't tricking herself neither did jungwon pulled a magic trick on her. it was just fate.

fate for a lost, wandering soul to be dissipated into butterflies once they touched the real human.

at that moment, hanbyeol noticed that she just lost both jungwon, on the same day.
