looking at the sky above her, byeol closed her eyes for a moment. she felt tired yet seeing him smiling gave her energy to keep wishing for him to wake up.

byeol was in the hospital's garden, drinking her canned peach juice she bought from the cafeteria at the ground floor. her mind wandering back to jungwon.

all of sudden, her eyesight became blank, no colour could she see. smiling, byeol took the warm palms away from her eyes and chuckled as her eyes met the smiley face in front of her.

"you're done now? " byeol asked, softly as her smile still hadn't washed off.

the boy in front of her nodded cutely as he took the place next to her, laying his head on her shoulder.

"I can do this without worrying about my disappearance anymore. "

byeol tilted her head a little, in confusion. "jungwon, you remembered? "

the said name lifted his head and looked at her confused face. chuckling at how funny she looked, the boy nodded his head once again, "I never forget about those months we've spent together, bae hanbyeol. "

"then why... "

a soft kiss planted on her temple making byeol shrunk as a response as she didn't expect that from him.

jungwon looked at her cutely before placing his head on her shoulder again and took her hand to play with it.

"because I'm not ready yet to face you, " he mumbled.

"not as bae hanbyeol who was my childhood best friend's girlfriend but as my long-time crush. " he confessed, sighing as he finished his words.

jungwon closed his eyes as he heard her gasped, he knew it was wrong for him to actually confess to her but he needed to. he couldn't hold this feeling for too much time because he was afraid if he'll lose his life once again.

it was somehow, he could call as miracle for him to wake up again. he just went into coma for more than six months and then right three months after that, he was once again facing the possibility of him to just rest in peace.

"it's all of sudden, isn't it? " jungwon chuckled at the lack of response from byeol when the girl would usually just lashed everything to him.

"You must be feeling so stress right now so don't think much about my confession. I just need to let them out. " jungwon stood, ruffling her hairs with the same soft smile plastered on his face. masking his sadness very well.

hanbyeol held his hand, halting his steps to walk any further. she looked at him, deep in his eyes as he also did the same.

his eyes looked desperate yet it was giving up too while her eyes showed determination, a desperation in passionate way to fight for her love. completely opposite of his.

"Yang Jungwon, if I fall for you, will you catch me? "

Jungwon looked at her cluelessly with clueless eyes. his mind was still processing what she said, making sure he didn't mistaken with what he heard.

a smile broke onto his face, showing his dimples. he nodded aggressively as if he was afraid if she changed her mind later.

"I promised, I'll be the person to catch you. " he walked back to her, standing in front of her, dangerously close.

byeol stared at him, blinking her tears away as the boy tucked her in his embracement.

"I'm afraid, jungwon. I'm afraid if I fall for you, I'll harm you. "

Jungwon smiled at her, wiping her tears before hugging her tightly, rubbing her back to comfort her. "If anything, you're the one who healed me, bae hanbyeol, " he kissed on top of her head softly yet sweet.

"I love you. " he released her from his hug and kissed her forehead.

a kiss on forehead, a symbol of love and affection. they were still young and jungwon realised that. knowing very well of their age, forehead kiss was much sweeter and memorable for him and byeol too.

"thank you, "

"and it's you too who owns this heart now. "

a soft smile plastered on byeol's face before she got on her toes to kiss his forehead too.

that night, they finally confessed their actual feeling they had been keeping. although it wasn't the playground where they decided to be friends and best friends, the hospital's garden was a sweet place too.

they stared at each other before bursting into laughter as byeol started to shed some tears.

a new season will approach them and being with each other was what they both wished for, so that they wouldn't hate any of the seasons.

that was how, the story of the lost, wandering soul, found his saviour and brought him back to the real life. healed each other, it was what their job were.

but falling in love was a bonus for succeeding in their mission.
