Shu took a seat on the bottom of the stairs, ceasing his feet on the golden grains of sand. The bliss of his creative imagination sparked as he noticed that the sea was a creased roll of cyan-blue. Shu then gazed up to see the sunset coming as a settled heart to the horizon as if the sky itself could speak the language of love. The angelic clash of pink and orange only adorned the atmosphere even more.

As Shu sat there eyeing out the infinite end of the sea-line, he reminisced the memories he had. The good ones and bad ones. Everything felt so surreal that time; it felt like a wondrous dream. The serene tranquility of the beach held an important silence for Shu. He realized how majestic the Earth was and how he never had the chance to admire the depths of it.

Resting his chin on his palm, Shu took a second to check his right and noticed that a blue-haired male had been sitting right beside him, holding a heart-shaped candy. He was looking at it intensely as if he was trying to discover a secret within.

A soft smile crawled its way to Shu's lips as he looked back to the front and continued to cherish the view.

From the corner of the Valt's eye, he could sense the other's gaze—even if it was only for a split second. He followed Shu's red orbs and gawked in awe at the beauty in front of him. The sight reflected the same thoughts as Shu, causing him to wonder. Curiosity killed the cat, Valt decided to ask some questions—ones that would change something.

        "Shu?"

        "Hm?

"What do you think about love?"

Shu eyes widened for a while before slightly chuckling at Valt's startling question. "Hmm, how do I explain this?" Shu turned to look at Valt only to see a questioning look plastered all over his face, and he knew that Valt would not let him go with this one.

"Well, I think love is...like a flawed melody with off-keys. Love is like an everlasting warmth and shelter from the storm. Love is like an eternal flame; once it's lit, it will continue to burn for all time."

Valt was bemused by that. It held a firm, explicit meaning that he would never comprehend. "That's...deep."

"Yeah. I never received any parental love or affection as my parents were always busy with work. The only time I spent half the day with my family was my birthday." Shu sighed softly, then forced a half-hearted sad smile. "I'm okay, though."

Valt acknowledged that Shu wasn't okay at all, but to respect him and his privacy, Valt pushed the idea to the back of his mind.

"I—um, so, next question?" Valt asked, breaking the golden but awkward silence.

        "Sure."

The blue-haired male hesitated for a bit, glancing back and forth between Shu and the view. "Do you believe in true love? I-I know this is cliché, sorry." He rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly.

"Nah, it's okay, Valt. And—yeah, I do. I used to not, though." Shu said, smiling a bit at his statement. Valt peered curiously at the opposed male beside him. "What made you change your mind?"

"You," Shu answered confidently as if that he had planned everything.

"Wha-aa?—" The taller male suddenly giggled at the other's reaction as Valt's jaw was wide-opened, surprised. The machine in Valt's brain that began to run again immediately processed the info he heard. "I—you, you...what do you mean?"
