Little Mix is an English Girl Band founded in 2011.
Little Mix is a British three-piece girl group consisting of Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards, previously a four-piece until former member Jesy Nelson left the band on December 14, 2020 .
. They competed on the eighth season of The X Factor UK in 2011 and won.
Since winning The X Factor UK, Little Mix have gone on to release six UK top 5 studio albums, five of which are platinum certified and one of which being #1 and five UK #1 singles and, as of 2021, have become the 5th best-selling girl group of all time.

Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall successfully auditioned as soloists for the eighth series of The X Factor in 2011, but failed to make it past bootcamp's first challenge. However, the judges decided to give them another chance to be part of the Groups category, which happened August 19, 2011. They were then put into separate ensembles by the judges during the group's bootcamp stage, with Perrie and Jesy in four-member group known as "Faux Pas" and Jade and Leigh-Anne in three-member group "Orion". Both groups failed to make it through to the judges' houses. A later decision saw two members from each group being called back to form the four-piece group Rhythmix, this sending them through to the judges' houses.
On 28 October 2011, it was announced that the group's new name would be "Little Mix". On December 11, 2011, Little Mix were announced as the winners, making them the first group ever to win the show.
Little Mix announced the third single off the album "Sweet Melody", which was released on October 23, 2020. The song became their fifth #1 in the UK.

From the first verse ,Jade Thirwall sang about a boy in a band who wrote love songs about her with sweet melodies ,this led to much speculations after the release that the British Singer was referring to her ex Jed,who is in a boy band ,The Struts ,Jade and Jed dated for three and a half years
In the next verse ,ex member ,Jessy sang about how when they go out ,she sees his straying eyes and he then acts dumb ,but when she tries to leave ,the sweet melodies made her stop in her tracks. Jessy was in a relationship with Rixton Singer,Jake Roche.
Perrie also sang about how he would lie and cheat and how she was just his tiny dancer ,as we all know ,Perrie dated Zayn Malik ,who was a member of popular boy band ,1d ,they were engaged and dated for four years.
Although , they are all speculations ,as the members of Little Mix haven't confirmed that the song was for their exes , although the song wasn't written by any of the band mates.
