...When the new school year started, the last one actually, god I was so nervous."
~
"Louis! Get your stuff together you're gonna be late!"
"Yes mum one second." Louis quickly threw on his new Adidas jumper and picked up his bag from the bed. He was never the kind of person who put too many thoughts into what he was gonna be wearing. He just put on what he was comfortable with. Not like he'd walk across his future husband any time soon.
He hurried downstairs and followed his mum to the car. "You got your keys? Breakfast? Money?"
"Yes, mum don't worry." Louis chuckled plugging in the seatbelt. If he'd only known he was about to meet the one person to change his whole life that day... It wasn't like Louis had never seen Harry before, he did but he had never really interacted with him more than once cuz they were in different classes but now they happened to take them together.
They sat next to each other and developed a bond of friendship, well, something like that...
"Lou!" He called from the other side of the hall to get Louis' attention. Harry ran towards him, his curls bouncing the way they always did when he moved his head in any kind, but it was, even more, when he jogged like now and Louis wasn't able to keep his smile for himself as he watched him. "What's up?"
"Are you coming over tonight?" Harry gasped trying to catch his breath, he really wasn't the sporty kind of guy. His parents were on vacation over the weekend and the two of them wanted to do kind of a movie night like basically every day just that they had the house for themselves. "Sure." he chuckled.

"You made me feel like I was important to someone by doing the littlest things," Louis said, looking up from his fingers, feeling the dried out stain from the tears on his cheeks warm up again through another trace, he gazed at the clock, it had been two hours already and that was just the start. From when they met in the halls to how they got to hang out all the time.
The look in Harry's eyes was still as empty as before. Suddenly the door swung open and Diana stepped in "I'm so sorry to interrupt you but you gotta go in a few minutes, visiting hour is long over." She said. "No, please, I need a little more time," Louis begged he wouldn't leave this building knowing to be a stranger to Harry.
"I told you to take it easy on him and you tell him your whole past?? Do you have any idea what this can do to him?" Diana hissed as soon as they left into the hall, she wasn't talking as a friend at that moment, she was talking as the doctor that is responsible for Harry's safety, she was acting professionally. But Louis knew her too well, it would be naive of him to think she wouldn't care. "I know, I know but listen. I need to get him back. And you know as well as I, that the chance, that he will remember is more than fifty per cent higher in the first twenty-four hours-"
"Lou-" She said softly, as if she was about to tell him it was useless anyway, "don't," He warned "don't... Please just give me a couple more hours, if it gets too much I swear I won't say another word, you know I would never want anything bad to happen to him."
"I just... want him back-"
"And you know I do too. And no matter how much I wish him back I can't talk it better than it is, his mental injuries are worse than assumed." She stopped letting it sink. "The chances that he will be able to remember anything are low."
"H-How low is low?" Louis' voice was only a breath. Hearing something that was already clear but wouldn't get into his mind. He fought against it with all of his strength. "Louis, look you have to be realistic, he was four years in a coma-"
