I awoke on my side, I stood up and looked at my surroundings.

A field of gray flowers, with a bright red sky. I looked in front of me and saw a hooded figure.

I rushed over to them just wanting some answers, about this place.

I tugged on its cloak and turned around.

It crouched down, "Hi there Wrath, I wasn't expecting to see you again. How are you?"

I didn't know how to respond to it, "I-I...um...I'm fine."

I chuckled in a god-like manner, "That's good."

I finally asked, "What happened to all the colorful flowers?"

"They've always been like this since you've shown up, in a constant state of decay." It picked one of the flowers and lifted it to show me.

"Decay?" I questioned taking the flower from the creature.

"Yes, they're always rotting away, it's sad to watch." It sounded very sad.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"They absorb too much of the land and die because of their foolishness." It sounded agitated.

I looked at the black tree, "Then...what about that."

"Ah...Yes...It's been like that because of you and your ways."

"What? Why is it my fault?" I got aggressive with the creature.

"Because you've taken too much as well." It remained calm.

"Too much of what!?" I yelled, now annoyed by the creature and its half-assed answers. I continued, "Listen if you're not going to give me an answer, I'm going to leave."

It didn't answer and just remained quiet.

I huffed, "Fine...I just want to find Dream, bye."

Just as I turned around and was about to leave, but was stopped when I felt a sharp pain in my wrist. "Let me go!" I yelled.

A familiar voice spoke, "But Wrathie, whatever happened to our little deal?"

I turned around, "Faust?" I looked at the masked man holding onto my wrist tightly.

I dropped my guard and he pulled me in for a hug.

"Wrathie, I'm sorry, you don't remember me. It's all my fault, you're like this."

"Why is it your fault?" I asked Faust.

"Because I left you alone and you absorbed too much of the land." He explained before continuing, cupping my face, "I'm sorry, I edged you onto the brink of death."

"Why is it your fault?" I repeated, lifting his mask to reveal his mouth.

"I'm sorry that I ever asked you, about what would Faust think?"

I was confused, "What do you mean, your right here with me Faust?"

"Oh, so you really thought I was Faust, how dense are you, Wrathie." Its voice was like Faust but distorted.

A sick and twisted laugh escaped its mouth, "You really thought you could run away from reality, by offing yourself, ̶Wrath."

"What the hell are you!?" I yelled as I managed to escape from its grasp of me.

̶"W̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶a̶ ̶c̶o̶w̶a̶r̶d̶.̶" It walked towards me and I bolted in the other direction.

̶"̶Y̶o̶u̶ ̶c̶a̶n̶'̶t̶ ̶o̶u̶t̶r̶u̶n̶ ̶m̶e̶,̶W̶r̶a̶t̶h̶ .!"

I ran for as long as I possibly could, till Faust caught me, throwing me to the mud and blood below us. Faust pinned me below him and pulled out a sharp knife. He was quick to stab me in the chest and left the blade in me, as he dragged me back to the black tree.

I shut my eyes as he leaned me onto the tree and pulled out the knife, making me scream in pain. I begged Faust to stop but he didn't and cut my neck open.

----------

I felt tears flow from my eyes and I opened my eyes.

I was still laying on Faust's lap and started to ball my eyes out. I shook terrified of the dream I just had.

I alerted Faust and he spoke up, "You ok, Wrathie?"

I couldn't talk, as I kept crying on his lap. He rolled me over to face him, picking me up, and into a warm but yet comforting hug.

He comforted me, "It's ok, Wrathie. It was just a dream, you're fine."

I clung to his hoodie and cried my heart out, into his shoulder.

As he hugged me, he asked, "Does anything hurt yet?"

"My chest...a little..." I got out throughout my crying.

"Let me get up and I'll get you what you need for it." He asked nicely.

I got off of him and laid on the bed and he left the room quickly.

Within a minute he returned.

"Close your eyes for me and relax, Wrathie."

I did as I was told, closing my eyes and relaxed best to my ability. I felt a sting on my neck and flinched.

Once Faust was done, he told me I could open my eyes. I opened my eyes and rushed to hug Dream, which he seemed annoyed with it, but let me hug him anyway.

"Good boy."He rubbed my back.

I soon fell asleep on him, too tired to move off of him.

***

I awoke in a new position, I was on top of Faust's chest as he laid asleep on the bed.

I didn't move, as I didn't want to wake him. His mask was lifted, only enough to reveal the lower half of his.

I took in all the details of the lower half of his face, his pinkish lips, freckles that laced his cheeks, and a scar lined his right cheek.

All I could do was stare until I heard him stirring under me. He moved his one hand up to his mask and pulled it back down, obscuring his face from me.

"How long are you going to stare at me?" He teased, making my face grow to a bright red.

"I-I'm sorry." I got off of him and he sat up. I looked at the clock, 7 am.

He put his mask back on properly, getting off the bed, and told me, "I'll be back, in a bit."

As soon as he said that he left the room, I sat on the bed waiting for him to return.

In ten minutes, he returned and gave me some new clothes.

He sighed and instructed, "Go get a shower, it will help you. I'll wait right here, Wrathie."

He pointed to the bathroom, I went into the bathroom, closing the door once I was in, and looked into the mirror. I didn't look too good but I didn't care. I removed the bandages from my wrists and saw I had recent stitches. I sighed and questioned how I got to this point before hopping into the shower.
