I left the nursing dorm, enough was enough I would find someone who would tell me where Catherine's office was.
I walked out of the two wooden doors to face a spiralling staircase that I slowly but surely walked up.
It was freezing and I needed to find somewhere warm. I finally reached the top of the stairs to face a long corridor with dorm rooms, I could feel a warm ahead of me so I picked up the pace and starting walking quickly towards the room that I persumed had heating.
Being 6am most people were asleep so I managed to walked past a few without causing too much attention. Everyone that I had seen had a friendly smile that I returned, maybe this place wasn't so bad after all. I finally came to a door that was ajar and looked behind me before creeping in, "Hello?" I looked around the room, a small fireplace that wasnt lit was the feature in the middle of the room surronded by red couches and paintings of presumed ex important people.
I traced my fingers around the red couch thinking about how I could brighten this place up with a few of my paintings.
"Hello there,"
I turned abruptly to see a girl sitting down on one of the chairs in the room, book in one hand tea in the other.
"Hi, I'm Selene." I smiled as I kept my distance
"Avery, pleasure to meet you." She stood up and smiled, "I've been waiting for you." Avery would've been around my age, with striking features, long brown hair, almond eyes and red cheeks.
"You've been waiting for me?" I asked shocked, she laughed,
"Don't worry Catherine told me all about you," she drank from her tea, I looked at her confused.
"I guess you could help me find her office then?" Avery put down her tea with a hesitant expression,
"You would rather have me tell you everything before you go and find Catherine, she is one of the most strict and hyptonic people you will ever meet."
"Yeah I gathered that." I said
I slowly sat down in the chair next to her. She was wearing a long, purple dress with a flower crown and a beautiful opal necklace.
"I love your necklace," I exclaimed as she chocked on her tea,
"Why thank you.... I think we better get this done quickly." She said
I was starting to analyse the different behaviours of people in this place, they sure as hell were different, especially Avery's.
Avery stared at me, "Catherine will give this 'orientation' to you again but being your roomate I get first dibs."
"Roomate?" I asked
"Oh sorry, I forgot to mention, if you get accepted in, which is unevidiable you will be rooming with me!" She squealed loudly
