Adrian put his hand into the tear and he felt like his hand was stretching, and stretching, and then his arm, and then the rest of his body slipped through. Light was everywhere around him, and a strange deep howling sound that was like an alien wind blowing past his ears. Every atom of his being was pulled apart in second that seemed to stretch on forever and it burned, it fucking burned and he opened his mouth to scream but then it was suddenly over. His body was flung through the air, slamming into what felt like water. He landed with a splash of black liquid that felt thicker than water. Some of it got into his mouth on impact and it tasted salty, slimy and strangely electric, as if he had licked an electric eel. Adrian coughed and spit out the weird water, and pressed his hand down against a wet yet unmoving surface. He looked down, and his hand was pressing down on a rippling black pool. It looked deep, and there was something swimming down there. It writhed beneath him, and he stared down into the black depths that he should be sinking into, but wasn't. Blood dripped down from his shoulder wound, and the blood just splattered against the wet surface. His body refused to sink into it. "What the fuck..." He whispered to himself, and then suddenly the wriggling thing beneath him shifted and seemed to rise up towards him. It got larger and larger as whatever it was swam up from the inky depths. It was huge, mind tearingly large. 'Oh fuck!" Adrian screamed, adrenaline surging through his system. He got up clumsily, taking in the rest of the place that he found himself in. A limitless black ocean stretched as far as his eyes could see. The sky, if he could even call it a sky, was a pure uninterrupted white. The weird white sky met the black ocean in a flat plane on the horizon. Dotting the ocean he saw crumbling ruins that looked like chunks of medieval castles half sunk into the ocean. All the ruins seemed to be built with varying differences of architecture, some looking European, some looking even older, like the ruins of ancient civilizations. There was a chunk that looked like it was once a piece of a blood red pyramid. There was another chunk of some spikey obsidian like stone, that looked like a half destroyed tower. The black ocean was dotted with these alien architectures. Adrian spun around, breath heaving in and out of his tired body, seeing that these chunks of buildings lay everywhere as far as the eye could see. He looked behind him and noticed that the hole he had gone into was gone. "Oh god, oh fuck!" Adrian yelled into this empty place. But maybe not as empty as he thought. There was a loud splash equivalent to the sound of a whale breaching the ocean's surface behind him. There was an awful wet splatting sound, followed by some kind of deep, animalistic growl that reverberated everything around him. "Oh god..." Adrian whimpered as he turned to face whatever creature had ruptured the surface of the black ocean. He turned around, and immediately felt an urge to claw his eyes out.
Dripping with the black fluid, towering above him, was the monster that the statue was undoubtedly carved after. It looked at him with two differently colored globes, one a deep blue, one neon green, both attached to long black stalks that were wavering around. The stalks tapered down to a massive vertically split red and wet fang filled maw that bisected it's long, lumpy slug like torso. Dotting the thing's body were bulbous glowing protrusions, shimmering with psychedelic colors. A long spine riddled dorsal fin towered from the things back, and it's tail split into two different fins. The thing's skin was rippling and black, as if the creature was half formed from the very substance it had arisen from. To Adrian's horror, the thing bowed it's toothy maw towards him, wide enough to swallow a truck whole. Adrian screamed, the vocalization tearing at his throat. Out of the yawning pit of the thing's gullet, something snaked out. It was long and pink and dripping, and at the tip was something that made Adrian's bile rise out of his gut. There was a human face at the tip, without eyes. It was like it had the face skin of a human, but nothing else. The tongue with the human face on it slithered forward until it was eye level with Adrian, who was still screaming, pain tearing his throat. The thing's empty lips parted, and a voice that seemed to reverberate around Adrian's ears as if the voice was coming from all directions at once.
