Daniel*
The day ended with me receiving a text from Rose. She said that she can't come over to my house today but told me to still chat with her later. I texted 'okay' to her and closed my phone. She really is something. She's that kind of person that gives me shivers, in a cool, awesome way. Definitely, not in a weird way. She's just that awesome. I walked to the gate when suddenly someone grabbed my arm. I looked at the person who did it. It was Vi. She was smiling sweetly at me. For me, her smile was too sweet.
"Hello Daniel, I see that our dearest Rosie isn't with you." Rosie? I looked at her a little confused.
"Rosie?" I asked her and her smile faltered a little.
"Rose. But Rosie is also one of her nicknames." I nodded at her. Rosie, huh, that sounds adorable! Perfect for he- what are you thinking Daniel!? You did not just call her adorable!
"Um... Daniel are you still there?" I snapped out of my thoughts.
"Okay. Since you're back, we need to talk." For a second there, I could have sworn that I saw her dead serious but that sweet, sickly smile returned in a flash. She pulled me, afterwards, to a shop. Maybe a café, I don't really know. She pulled me too the corner of the shop where only a few people will see us. I sat across Vi. Then a waitress approached us.
"Welcome to Sweet Heaven Café, what can I get for you two?" She smiled at us. She handed us a little menu.
"Oh! I want a slice of blueberry cheesecake and... maybe the chocolate fráppe." I said as I handed the menu back to her.
"And for you, madam?"
"I'll just have your earl grey tea." The waitress nodded and wrote down all of our orders.
"Okay then, your orders will be here within 5 minutes." The waitress then left. As she left, Vi started chuckling.
"Vi, why the fuck are you laughing?" I asked her. She was still chuckling but it toned down a bit.
"Its because of your order. You know, I remembered back then when Rose and I are eating here, she would always order a blueberry cheesecake and get excited 'cause of it. Her reaction was like yours a while ago." I was a little shocked after what she said. So, Rosie (I like calling her that now) likes or maybe, loves what I loved. But what does that mean?
"What does that mean then?" I asked.
"It means that you guys are meant to be, well, for me that is. 'Cause I believe that if you both are the same in a way examples: favorite food, reactions, etc. then you guys are perfect for each other." Did I hear that right? We both are perfect for each other... Wait, why should I care? We both are only friends and that's it.
The waitress walked towards us with the orders. I thanked her and started to eat the cake which was so fucking delicious. I swallowed it down so I can talk properly to Vi.
"Why should I care that we both are 'perfect' together?" I said as I was doing these quotation marks on the word perfect.
"Stop playing dumb its ob-" Her sentence was cut off by someone who screamed "Just tell me, yadda yadda yadda." Somewhere along those lines. The voice though shocked me a little. It sounded really familiar. Like I know who that someone is.
"As I was saying, its pretty obvious that you have a thing for her. I think ever since you saw her, you loved h-"
"Wait a minute, are you accusing me of 'love at first sight'?" I said as I used the quotation marks again.
"Not really, bu-" Again, that girl, I assumed that someone is a girl because of how her voice sounded, has screamed again and after that she said sorry...? I think it was sorry, anyway. I turned back to Vi.
"As I was saying, I wasn't accusing you or anything but... wait a minute, this conversation is supposed to be about you. Why am I talking about something else? Okay let's get back to topic and stop diverting our conversation. Stop being indenial and admit that you like her." She said. She looked a little pissed at me.
"No 'cause I don't like her. She is just a friend." I said matching her glare. Then suddenly her face lit up like a light bulb.
"Oh really." Her frown suddenly turned into a smirk. "Then you won't mind me calling her and tell her that you want to go to the Autumn Festival." I felt my face lose color. "Alright then, let's just dial her number and-" I snatched her phone away.
"I knew it! You like her." She giggled. I felt my face heat up.
"Sh-shut up. I don't l-like her."
"So why did you steal my phone?" Her smirk looked more like a grin at this point.
"'Cause I don't want to take her."
"Then you should be fine taking her as a friend." I stayed quiet but I know that my cheeks are still red.
"Just admit it, Daniel" I still stayed quiet.
"Come on Daniel. If you don't say anything, I'll find a way to tell her." She was saying her sentence in a sing-song voice.
"Three... two... o-"
"Fine! I like her, okay. When I see her I get this weird feeling when I'm around her. Are you fucking happy now?" I said. Well more like screamed.
"Yes, very fucking much. I guess my work is done." She smiled at me.
I looked at her confused. "What?"
"It was my plan to get that out of you. But I won't tell Rosie, I'll actually help you win her heart."
"How?" I asked.
"I have a plan but it might change everyday. So this is how I will help you. We will meet everyday in this pretty little café. But if you can't meet me, I'll just text you. You do have my number, right?" I nodded at her. She grinned.
"Perfect! Well then let's pay and leave now." She called a waiter and paid for our meal. Then she stood up and I followed her out the door. But before that, I turned to look at my unfinished cake. I frowned a bit 'cause of that. We stood there for a bit before we said 'goodbye' to each other. I turned away to walk back to my house.
"Daniel? What are you doing here?"
