Chapter 2

I wake up the next morning I realizing I still have to unpack "ugh!" I groan in frustration.

I head down stairs to the kitchen. I never realized how big our kitchen is. I ran to each cabinet hoping the hot cocoa mix would be there. Yay it's there. I quickly make a cup and head back upstairs.

When I get upstairs I go on my balcony. The cool fall air blows in my face making my hair blow into my face. After I'm finished my cocoa I grab my drawing book and head outside.

I sit on the front porch and put my headphones in. While I'm in the middle of listening to Love Me Like You Do by:Elie Goulding I felt some one tap me. I look up and see my brother Ben (or as I like to call him cookie) "whatcha drawing there?" " It's our trip to when we went to Cape Hattris." " well it's beautiful" He told me sitting down with me. "So do you like it here?" He asks me while looking around. "yea it's really pretty here and calm and it's helping me to forget the past." " Well that's good hey going to go drive around for a little to see if there is anything here you wanna come?" "Naw I'm good"

I put my headphones in when my phone starts to buzz. Phone call
H: hey Katharine what's up?
K: Nothing I just wanted to see if you would like to come over and meet my son and 3 of his friends?
H: Yea sure I would love to meet them
K: Great do you think you could come over in like an hour so we can all have lunch?
H: Yea sure see you soon bye
K: Bye
Phone call ended
I run up the stairs to my room and look at the clock 10:45 I run into the shower and take a quick shower.
When I got out the clock read 11:10 I change into a pink justice shirt and a cute little light jacket to go over it and some capris with my blue converses. I put my hair in a high ponytail.

"Mom I'm going over to Katharine's house for lunch and to meet her son!" I yell to my mom. "Ok sweetie be care full have fun!"

I walked to her house which was only 2 houses away.I knocked on the door and she answered. " Hey Haley I'm glad you could come please come on in were having Mac and cheese with hot dogs!" "Yum thank you for inviting me over." I walk in with Katharine. I see four boys laughing there butts off.

"Boys I would like you to meet Haley she just moved here." They all turned their heads and A huge smile appeared on my face and I started to blush."Hi" I say while trying to calm my nerves. They each come up to me and introduce them selfs.

"Hi I'm Nate but most you can call me skate!" He said with a huge smile on his face.
They all did the same thing. "Don't worry i know who you guys are." " Well that's awesome I can see us being friends" says Sammy.

We all sat down and started eating. "So Haley how old are you?" Jack G asked "I'm seventeen" "Cool so how do u like it here so far?" Jack g asks. " It's really nice I like it better here than St.Louis even tho I just moved here yesterday." "That's nice why did you move here?" " Oh um well my family has a bad past and we couldn't really handle the memory's" I say while trying to hold back tears. " Oh sweetie let me get you some tissues." Katharine says while getting up.

When she comes back she hands me the box. " thank you do you think I could talk to you in private?" " Sure sweetie come one" I take the tissues and follow her into I'm guessing her room. " So what's wrong?" " Well since I trust you I figured it would feel better if I tell you my past?" "Sure sweetie go ahead"
