"How can a person know everything at eighteen, but nothing at twenty two?"

~~~
Flora paced the pavements of New York city, her legs absentmindedly moving her backwards and forwards in the small space outside of her grandmother's old apartment, waiting for her brother and sister.
Her thin, worn away jumper she'd kept from an ex boyfriend long ago failed at keeping her warm from the cold autumn air but she didn't register the goosebumps covering her body.
Her mind raced, as if ten thousand thoughts entered her head every second, a feeling that was normal for Flora but she couldn't ignore the dull pain of a slight headache starting in the back of her head.
She didn't know why she was so stressed, so worried about everything, but when wasn't she? She tried to remind herself of all the reasons she should be happy, excited, or at least grateful.
In just a couple of days she'd be starting a new job, her dream job in fact, pretty much fresh out of college and was moving in with her sister in the so called 'big city'.
So why wasn't she happy like she thought she'd be? It always felt as if something was missing, like something she so desperately needed was just out of her grasp.
