The park was beginning to lessen its population of visitors minute by minute. Workers and other volunteers helped take things down from there places, cleaning up the art festival. A group of teenagers swarmed around a large oak tree. They watched as one of their members, ramble and push and fight things that come in his path. He started to sweat, his heartbeat racing up, his lungs heaving from cursing loud amongst the trees.
One of the members, a girl with bright red hair held out her hand towards the boy.
"Andrew!" she said. "Calm your ass."
The boy, Andrew, throw a punch at the tree, not only causing blood but some wood from the oak to scrap his knuckles.
The girl sighed. "You can't take all of your anger out on a tree. Besides, we'd all know who'd win in the end."
Andrew glared at her. "I didn't ask for your opinions, Ilea." He turned to another member of their group. "Thomason, do you know where could find a axe or a chainsaw?"
Thomason sighed, he stood up grabbing Andrew's shoulders.
"Man, there is nothing you can do to erase what just happened." Thomason shook his friend a little. "Come on, be practical. Or are you mad because Collin took your girlfriend away?"
Andrew shrugged off Thomason's grip and moving back towards the tree. He heaved and sputtered trying to think of another statement to retaliate but nothing came to mind. He started at the tree; he noticed a slash of blood left on it, his own, now feeling a bit guilty.
Somewhere in his thoughts, he noticed the group got oddly quiet. Andrew turned to look at them but ending up face to face with another man. He groaned under his breath. Aleck was the last person he wanted to see.
"Well well," Aleck says. "Seems like your not the only violent member of a group I've seen today."
"What do you want, Aleck?" Thomason asked. "The squad's not in for secrets."
Aleck sighed, folding his arms. "You knew my deal, and you're starting to blow it." He looked straight at Andrew, who started to grow pissed; his fists tightened. "Collin Princeton and your is getting in the way. I want you to avoid them both."
"Why should I?" Andrew asked. "After what that coward did-"
"You don't know anything the Princetons' have been doing don't you? They'll infiltrate the entire plan. Plus, I think you can put your feelings aside for this one simple task." Aleck looked at Andrew hard in the eye. "I'm relying on you, Andrew. I know you're capable of this."
Andrew sighed. "Fine. But I'm not doing this because you want me too. I need the money your offering."
Aleck shook his head. "The reason doesn't matter. All it matters is that your doing what I want."
The man called Aleck left the group, leaving the park without a trace. It looked to the remaining people at the park as if a shadow with no person walked by.
Two weeks later...
I watched enviously as Emily cuddled with her boyfriend on her couch. She invited me over, along with Diana and her boyfriend, who were talking about the band practice the other day. We were watching Legally Blond the Musical considering Emily's mom bought it by accident on Demand and wanted us to watch it considering she didn't want it to be bought for nothing. Though I didn't want to come over, mainly because my book was staring at me begging me to read it, Diana convinced me it will be "fun". Sorry to say that watching a couple kiss and snuggle is not fun.
Emily slowly realized my boredom, escaping her boyfriend's arms to sit next to me. "Sorry if I'm not a good hostess." She takes my hand. "What's wrong?"
