Chapter 5

Brooke's POV

I wake up in the morning and I panic because I have to meet Liam today. I rummage through my closet and I cannot decide what to wear.

I finally decide on a red plaid shirt and shorts. That should be fine.

I walk to the park anxious to see Liam and there he was sitting on the bench underneath a willow tree.

'He's so beautiful..' I think to myself. Alright Brooke play it cool. You'll do fine.

"Hey Liam!" I smile brightly. He grins. "Hey Brooke. So glad you could come."

I smile and he offers his hand and I hold it. It's so gentle, but I can feel his strong muscle. We walk around the park and he begins to talk.

"So tell me about you. What is the story of Brooke?" He grins.

"Well.. I'm not really extraordinary. I live a few miles outside of San Fransisco and I go to USD. I'm studying oceanography."

He smiles a warm and gentle smile. "That's very nice. Got your life all planned out I suppose."

"Well except one thing.." I mutter to myself. "What is that?" Liam asks.

"I broke up with my boyfriend last week over cheating rumors."

Liam's POV

She's single? How! A beautiful girl like her deserves the best in the world. How dare her ex-boyfriend believe rumors.

"I'm sorry to hear. Are you fancying anyone at the moment?" Why did I say that!?!

"No not really. I haven't worked anything out yet. Besides I'm looking for that special guy who will steal my heart." She smiles.

God her smile. Radiant as the sun.

After a couple hours talking and eating lunch, she decides to leave because she has to get back to her friend.

Steal her heart? She's gorgeous. I would love to be that guy who steals her heart. She could even break my heart. That would be considered an honor.

I head back to the hotel and Niall has a concerned look on his face. "Niall? Lad what happened?"

He sighs. "On the news.. They are talking about you and a mysterious girl you were with, or Brooke. They think she is your girlfriend."

I start to panic. She isn't my girlfriend! I mean I haven't asked her yet or anything! Wait why would I ask her! What am I even saying!

"You cleared up the rumors right Niall? You did didn't you?" I ask panicking.

He reluctantly nods. "It's not easy to convince the paparazzi, but I cleared the rumors up."

I sigh. Thank god he did. "Thanks lad. Always can count you." I smile.

"No problem Liam. It's what friends do. It's what we are supposed to do." He smiles and turns on the TV to watch the football game.

I decide to watch as well curious to see who wins. Maybe it isn't so bad having the rumors. What will Sophia think?!

Liam stop thinking about Sophia! She broke up with you remember!

I head to my room after the game is over around 10:00 p.m. I fall asleep dreaming about the beautiful girl who stole my heart the minute I laid eyes on her.
