George rubs his eyes and stretched, nuzzling his nose into the crook of Clay's neck. He sighs in content and releases a small puff of air and tightens his hand on Clay's hoodie. Clay was super warm— almost like a blanket, in fact. He gets up a little, looking over towards the window. It's very dark outside— how long had they been asleep?
Clay, all of the sudden, tightens his grip on George's shirt, a whimper coming from his mouth. George frowns.
"Clay?" He whispers, voice hoarse. He realized that they're cuddling and his eyes momentarily widen. He pulls away from the taller male before retreating back into Clay's arms.
"G-George?" Clay whispers. His voice wavers as if he's going to cry at any second. George frowns.
"Are you okay?" George asks, shaking him lightly.
"George! No! Come back!" Clay yells. George is startled by the noise before realizing what is happening. He's having a nightmare.
George rubs Clay's back, scooting up a bit so Clay could rest his head on George's chest.
"G-George... d-don't le-leave me.." he cries.
"I'm not going anywhere, dreamy." He murmurs. Clay gasps as he looks up, eyes blinking and glazed.
"G-George! Y-you're okay?!" The younger man whispers. He whimpers a little, realizing he may have scared George, and curls in on himself.
"It's okay, Clay.. I'm okay. See? You're okay too. No one is going to hurt you, my dream." He murmurs, beginning to draw shapes in Clay's back. Clay sighs in content, his hand that were clenching George's shirt now loosening.
"You're okay.. you're okay.." Clay repeats a few times, gasping a little for air. His breathing calms and his eyes close again.
"Don't leave me.. you promise?" He says between inhales and exhales of air. George mumbles a quiet, barely noticeable "yes."
"Th-thank you.." Clay whispers. He goes quiet before nuzzling into George's chest, his arms still wrapped around the older man. He doesn't move after that, soon emitting soft snores. George grins before falling back asleep.
