The Coffee Shop(Adventurer Cookie x Herb Cookie)

|~ Chapter 2 - Herbal Tea ~|

             Herb smiled, setting the hand the other had shaken back into his lap. His green hair dipped into his face, casting a soft shadow over the sweet, brown eyes. He stared into the others hardened, brown eyes. They set a delicate hue against Adventurer's tanned skin, as he took yet another sip of his own coffee.

                Adventurer cleared his throat, sitting up, and forwards. His dark jeans almost blended into the deep brown of the chairs. "What do you do for a livin'?" He asked, setting a hand down against the fabric of his jeans. The other sat up, their leaf-like hair glowing in the sunlight.
"I own a plant shop, just down the way! I come here rather often." Herb cheered, his voice rather soft, as if his vocal cords were made of the softest of wool. He delicately crossed one leg over the other, being careful not to catch his sweater on anything. "And you?" Herb asked, his voice just as silky soft as before.

              The other man ruffled his free hand through his blond hair, tapping his boot against the ground. "I journey for others. I'm also working as an archaeologist." He replied, taking a sip of his coffee. It burnt his mouth, but the tingling sensation was welcome against the cold that was beginning the take over the world outside of the small, calming coffee shop. An awkward silence slowly grew between the two. Herb glanced over, nervously. Adventurer's face had a sort of daringness to it, despite the silence. The scars on his face only served to add to it, a show, one could say. Herb gave the other a soft smile, taking a packet of sugar from the small, black container that was set on the table.

             "What kind of drink did you order?" Herb's voice broke through the silence with the question, a sparkle of honesty in his sweet, chocolatey eyes. The other man glanced up, giving the other a smile back, although it seemed more confident and sassy, rather than sweet.

              "Just a simple iced coffee. I forgot to ask for anything to sweeten it, but the base flavor of this coffee is good enough." The tanned man said, lost in his own thoughts. He took yet another sip, staring into the other's deep eyes.

               "And you?" Adventurer finally asked, setting down the insulated cup. The other gave a sweet smile, kicking his legs back and forth. "I ordered herbal tea, they're quite good here." He responded shortly, his voice still quiet. The employees had yet to finish Herb's drink, as he lay with his hands covered by the sweater's long, green sleeves. His green eyebrows were laying in a peaceful position, as he closed his eyes. Adventurer took yet another sip, inhaling the scent, as if cherishing it.

              "How about your business? Ya' own a plant store?" The tanner man asked, cocking his head to the right. Herb's eyes shot open, as he snuggled closer into his sweater. "It's a smaller shop, just down the way. I sell various herbs and plant seeds, as well as dabbling in some plant care." Herb said, from the safety of the green sweater. He stared at the other, awaiting his response. Adventurer simply gave a sweet smile, as a voice rang out by the register.

              "Herb! Order for Herb is ready!" A sweet, sugar-laced voice ran out, as Herb slowly stood up. "I'll be right back- stay here." Herb said to the tanned man, giving him a sweet smile, as he approached the register. Adventurer stared at Herb, smiling softly. He was excited to learn more about Herb, and planned to once he came back to the seat. But for now, he would wait for Herb to get his herbal tea.
