[After Exams]
Finally, exams are over and today we're getting our marks. So today's the day. The day that I either confess to Felix or not. I'm honestly more nervous for this than I was for any exam I wrote.
“Felix.” calls the teacher.
“Moment of truth.” he says before getting up to fetch his report card.
I wonder which one of us will be top of the class this term. I'm pretty confident in myself because I think I did really well in my exams.
“No way! I got an 85% aggregate!” he exclaims!
“Woah that's so good!” I say.
That's a really good aggregate. He usually gets a 75-78% aggregate so this is really good for him. He finally achieved his goal of an A aggregate.
My name is toward the bottom of the class so I'll just have to sit here in anticipation for a while.
Eventually the teacher got to my name.
“Zephyr.”
“Moment of truth as you'd say.” I tell Felix.
I take my report card from my teacher and then make my way back to my desk.
I slowly open my report card, my heart racing.
My eyes immediately look to the bottom of my report card.
“aggregate: 91%”
“OH MY GOSH I GOT A 91% AGGREGATE!” I yell quietly.
“Oh my gosh that's insane! Well done Zypher.” says Felix.
And now moment of truth, my math mark.
“Mathematics 7 80%”
Holy. Shit.
I did it.
I got that 80%.
I actually got it.
It seemed so impossible, but I got it.
But that means I have to confess to Felix...
