I slowly brushed my long black hair in a daze. Perched on a branch of my most favored silver willow tree, I laid my back on its trunk and gave out a sigh. Bo, my silver-scaled dragon, gave me a snort as if he knew what was on my mind. He was laying below the tree, his tails protectively encircled around the tree trunk. I didn't pay heed to him and continued brushing my long locks.
The gentle night breeze softly caressed my skin as it passes by the sacred spans of land that I frequent whenever I stayed in the mortal world. I often find myself visiting this place after I'm done with my godly duties. This, and the Serene Lake, from where I've met the Prince General Minho.
The Prince. He looks like what I've imagined him to be. Strong-willed, brave, and warm. I only saw him from faraway, whenever the moon was up in the sky. I was contented to see a glimpse of him at night, may it be at the battlefield or while he was sleeping. But to able to meet in person was a different matter.
A blushed spread across my face as I revisited our first encounter. He has a fine and well-toned body. Visibly seen underneath his soaked linen shirt, his broad shoulders looked so firm.
Such thoughts not befitting a Moon God, Bo my dragon said after he gave me some time with my thoughts.
"Is it wrong to like a mortal because he is brave and strong?" I answered him.
No, you celestial Gods have always favored mortals more than once.
"So, what's your deal?"
Let him be enraptured by your beauty. Not the other way around. Don't act like a fool.
"I-I didn't act like a fool," I puffed my cheeks at him. How can he say that I acted like a fool? When all I did was acted cool and calm in Minho's presence. It was my first mortal encounter after a few hundred of years, of course I would feel nervous deep inside.
This was the first time that I was visiting a mortal other than for business purposes. Because after watching Minho grew up from a toddler to a fine young man, I finally decided that it was time for me to see him in person. My champion, the bringer of rain.
If I didn't see the vision of drought when I was doing my divinity then I wouldn't have visited him. I would've stayed away and watch him from afar as I always have done. But a lot of people will suffer if I didn't and my conscience can't bear that weight. I was a benevolent God after all.
I laid on the branch of the silver willow tree and hummed a song until I felt sleepy. The face of the Prince General Minho was vivid in my memory. Smiling, I found myself looking forward to our next meeting.
