I lost you once
Then I held you in my arms
Playfulness and lightness were us.
I lost you again
and it felt like home when I touched you,
when you came back to me.
Now you'll never return to me
and my sighs are stored in my chest.
I'm slumped over with sadness and regret
weighing on me.
I know my tears can't bring you back.
for the longest time I've believed so.
