Dear Harry,

I love you.

I love you.

I love you.

You know what I regret most?

Not saying "I love you" more often.

Not just to you, but to everyone I valued in life.

My mom, my dad, my friends, you.

Before I met you, those three words seemed so foreign to me.

I heard it a lot, but it was never something I frequently said.

I struggled to show people how I truly felt, and how to tell them as well.

But then I met you.

I knew those infamous three words long before I met you, but you showed me that you could tell someone you loved them in a different manner.

You made me realize that it wasn't only "I love you"

You had a wide range of substitute sentences, and the love I felt was equal.

"Have you eaten yet?"
"Where are you?"
"Call me when you get there, okay?"
"I hope you feel better soon."
"Good morning, love."
"Would you like me to help?"

It's amazing to hear those, you know.

I remember the way I felt whenever one of those substitutes would escape your mouth.

I felt like someone genuinely cared about me; loved me.

I felt the love you wanted me to feel, and I knew for sure, it was real.

I love you,
Alba Stockton
