"Zoey?"i said looking around the classroom 'is she in a different class?' I checked the class thing and saw her name well atleast i thought it was her name. As i looked closer i realized it was her last name but not her first name. The i heard her voice behind me. As i went to turn around to say hi i felt two arms wrap around my torso.

I hugged her tightly scared that this would be the last time i hugged her. "Zoey?" She asked. "No, well yes but no." "What?" She sounded confused "well im gender fluid! So i go by zach now!" I said nervously. I let go and walked a step or two back and looked Emma in the eyes. She was at medium height for our age but i was still slightly taller even though she was a few months older than me she always said shes older. It was a dumb way to come out to your best friend but it was better than how I came out to my parents.

My parents had chosen to watch a new show on Netflix, the main character was nonbinary and i thought this was a good time i guess?. "GUESS WHAT IM GENDERFLUID!" I shouted. My parents took it fairly well but my dad was upset that i interrupted the movie.

I didnt know what to say. I supported her but i didn't know what to say i was so surprised it silenced me. "Ok cool so your names zach? And what are your new pronouns?" I finally managed to say. I was to surprised to say anything else but thankfully zach started talking. "Uh yeah its zach and my pronouns will change pretty often!" They responded.
