I woke up to my little brother jumping on my bed, trying to wake me up. "Eve, please get up sissy!!" he yelled. "I'm up, I'm up." I chuckled. sitting up. He had a big dorky grin and hopped off my bed, running out of my room. I smiled softly and stood up, stretching. I looked over to my nightstand, where my phone buzzed. I picked it up, seeing a few messages from Lilac.

Heyy! First day of high school! Are you excited?
Fuck yeah! Kinda nervous. Ngl. How long till you're ready?
About 20 minutes
Alr. Ill see you at the bus stop!
See ya then! :)
I smiled and set down my phone, getting dressed quickly.
I walked downstairs, seeing my mom and brother, Eric, at the table. "Mornin' Mom!" I kissed her cheek. Grabbing my bag, "Off to school?" "Yep!" I smile. "Tell Lilac I said hi!" I blushed at the name, I stammered, "I...I will!" "Sissys face is red, Mommy!" I blushed more, "I gotta go, bye!" I ran out the door, grabbing my keys and phone off of the table.
Heading off towards the bus stop, I got a few more text messages.

Heading there now!

I smiled, what a dork, I thought. After a few more minutes of walking, I made it. When Lilac saw me she gave me a dorky grin and hugged me. I blushed a bit. "Excited?" She said, she sounded so happy. I shrugged, "Kinda." She pulled back, putting her hands on her hips, "Oh cmon! I know for a fact you are just rumbling with excitement!" I chuckled at her enthusiasm. "Ok, maybe a little bit." She smiled brightly, "That's the spirit! Where is your schedule at?" I pulled the folded-up piece of paper out of my pocket, handing it to her. She took it, unfolding it and scanning it up and down. She smiled, "We have a few classes together!" I smiled softly at her, a thought crossed my mind. She's gonna be with me almost all day! I blushed at the thought, hiding my face. She looked at me, "Eve, is everything okay?" She had a tint of concern on her face. I uncovered my face and nodded, just as the bus pulled up. I grabbed my bag, getting onto the bus, Lilac followed behind.
Boy, it was gonna be a long day.
