Into UnOrdinary as John

Chapter 3

I continue trying to memorise the ability while hiding my eyes by keeping my head down, the teacher finally notices me and says

"John, why have you kept your head down, are you feeling sick?" The teacher asked as I turn my ability off and sit up

"Ah, sorry ma'am I was feeling very sleepy, I promise I won't do it again" I make excuse as she buys it and says

"Ok, don't do it again and while your at it, solve this problem on the board for me." she says as I look over to the board and see it is long division, pretty easy

I get up, walk over to the board and the teacher hands me the chalk, I finish the equation in about 20 seconds give the chalk back and walk back to my seat.

"Good job John, not continuing on....." The teacher said as I didn't pay much attention

I need a way to be able to memorise abilities long term, If I can do that, I basically will have a library of abilities to choose from whenever I want. I can get the versatility that John couldn't get.

For memorising the signature, instead of trying to remember it? how about I just copy it enough times to make it second nature? that could work. I will try that later.

I noticed that Claire was staring at me, she sat beside me now. After a bit it got uncomfortable and I whispered

"Claire, please stop staring at me......" I said as she flushed red at that and looked away, a school crush? eh, it will die down eventually

The class continues like that as I try to think thee best ways to use my ability

The class ends and the recess starts, all of the kids make their way outside and they all start playing, well except me who just sat under a tree and relaxed

I take out the english book which had stories so it was decent way to past time. I read for a good 5 minutes before I heard a scream

Two kids with the fist abilities are pulling on Claire's hair. My eyes widened at this, I run over to the them

"Oi, stop that." I say to them with darkened eyes

"What? this weak ass over here insulted me, I am just showing it the place where it belongs" said the kid with steel fist with a evil ass grin

At that moment something snapped in me

I walk over to them and grab his wrist and put pressure on his nerve there and it makes him let go of Claire's hair and he responded to it as I expected

"You......" The steel fist kid sneered at me and tried to punch me with his ability, seeing this his 'brother?' joined in and tried to hit me to

I dashed past them and kick them both in the back of their knees and make them kneel, it seems I still remember all the martial arts I had to learn in my last life

" You both are to slow to even touch me, much less hit me, now be good boys and stop being petty bullies" I say with the scariest glare which I could muster and it seems it worked.

The twins were scared and they started crying and ran back into the classroom, I walk over to Claire who was crying her eyes out and ask

"You okay? they didn't hurt you somewhere did they?" I ask as she nodded and showed her knee which was bruised.

Seeing that I sigh and ask

"Can you walk?" I ask as she nods no

I sigh again and crouch down

"Get on my back, I will get you to the infirmary" I say as Claire obliges, she got on my back and I started walking to the infirmary as the other kids just watched in silence and disbelief, not that I cared.

As I was walking with Claire on my back, the teacher comes with the twins and said

"Michael and Mack said that you hit them both, is that true? and Claire what happened!" The teacher asks with disappointment in her eyes

"I did not hurt them for the sake of hurting them, first when they hurt Claire here, I just made Michael pull away from her and when they both tried to punch me with their abilities, I just dodged and made sure they wouldn't try and hurt me or someone else again Ma'am" I say with a monotone voice and calm face as the teacher nods.

"Is this true?" The teacher asks the twins

Both of them were speechless and just looked down in shame

"Ok, John continue talking Claire to the infirmary, I will excuse you both for the next period." The teacher says as I nod and make my way to the nurse

The nurse was a woman with green hair, red eyes and glasses. She looked at us and rushed over

"What happened!?" she asked with worry in her voice

"Claire here was hurt by two other kids, she couldn't walk so I brought her here like this." I explain as the nurse nods

The nurse gives Claire a tonic and disinfects the wound and puts a bandage on it. 

"There you go! you should be fine now dear. Claire, you should stay here for now and black hair you stay here with her and take her back to class when the next bell rings, I will be leaving for a while." the nurse says as I nod

As the nurse left, Claire finally spoke up

"T-thanks for helping me" she said as I look at her and said

"It is no problem, I just did what was right"  I say with a straight face, I had planned to stay away from her, she could be quite troublesome but I guess there is a change in plans.

"Claire, if they ever try something again, just tell me okay?" I say as she looks at me and says

"Why help me? I haven't done anything for you" she says while starting to cry again, God I hate dealing with kids

"Isn't it obvious, your my friend" I say with a straight face as Claire smiles brightly and hugs me

"Hey! get off, who said you could hug me" I say with a irritated face as she laughs it off.

I sigh at that and thought inwardly, this is gonna be long until I reach the main story.
