ESTRELLA ALONSO has been living with her paternal aunt's family since she was thirteen years old after her mother Zarina had passed away. Estrella's father Alonso, so hurt by the death of his wife, completely shut out the rest world except his record company that he and Zarina had dreamed of starting up. While Alonso loved his daughter, he couldn't be the father that she needed. He knew that his sister and her husband could give her love that she needed as parents as they do to their own three children in the small town of Tree Hill, North Carolina. Now, Estrella in her junior year of high school is faced with the challenges of trying not to betray her best friend Lucas, while simultaneously falling in love with his biggest rival, his younger brother.
