Chapter 3|Asuna...?

"A-Asuna..." I was happy. Of course I was happy, who wouldn't be happy to see their girlfriend? "Hehe... Asuna~" and apparently, people were staring at me. Of course I didn't know at the time.

"Who's Asuna...? Mr Eugeo? Do you know?" David poked Eugeo's arm, waiting for an answer.

My friend turned his head, right to left. "I-I don't know. Maybe a friend from his old life. Maybe Children of Vecta reminisce about their old lives." The children and Eugeo stared at me before Selka came inside bashing the cooking utensils and something that resembled a pan.

"Wakey, wakey! It's time to wake up, Kirito!" I sat straight up-she's scary when she's angry.

"Yes! I'm here ma'am! I didn't oversleep, ma'am! I was ready ma'am!" The others chuckled as my face glowed. After the chuckles disappeared, Eugeo approached me.

"Hey, Kirito?" I looked to him, as I munched on the piece of bread Selka had given me as part of breakfast.

"Hmyeahhh?" I mumbled, munching away.

"Who's Asuna?"

I choked.

"H-H-How do you know about h-her!" I waved my hands in front of my face, trying to conceal my blush.

Eugeo spread some jam onto his piece of bread. And he took a bite before answering, "What can I say? You... *nom* talk *nom* in your *nom* sleep." He stared at me, his eyes questioning. He swallowed, "So, who is Asuna?"

I fidgeted with my hands. "M-My g-g-girlfriend..."

He coughed, "You had a girlfriend?!"

"Y-Yeah!" He looked at me weird. "W-What! Got a problem?!"

"No, no, I just never knew you were the type of guy to have a girlfriend!" He waved his hands in front of his face, frantically trying to clear the misunderstanding.

"P-Pfft." He looked back at me.

"Excuse me?"

I wiped a tear from my eye, "N-No, it's just your reaction-it was so funny."

Misunderstanding, again, he asked, "Wait, do you have a girlfriend or not. I'm very confused."

"Ha... I do, and she's an absolute goddess." I grinned, thinking back to her smiling face that would welcome me whenever I needed it.

"Anyway, Mr Boyfriend, we should get chopping. Any later and we're not gonna have happy nuns." He got his daily spiral water and passed a bottle to me.

We walked. And walked. Then walked some more. And more. Then another pair of walking. And my feet moved. Footsteps thud as my body grew heavier. "Eugeooo are we there yettt," I groaned. "My leeegggsssss they're going to die on meeee."

"I guess this is your third day. We could have a little rest."

"Thank Stacia!" I slumped onto the ground, happy for the rest.

Eugeo took a gulp of water as he wiped his sweat off. His flaxen hair shone in the sunlight. "So... tell me more about Asuna, Kirito. She must be very important if you mutter her name in your sleep." He grinned.

I felt my face heating up. "S-She's very..." I lowered my voice, hoping he wouldn't hear me, "beautiful."

"Hm... I never knew Kirito would be one to say a woman's beautiful." He teased me.

"N-No, but really! Her chestnut brown hair and when she smiles, it feels like that day was blessed!" I semi-screamed.

"Woah, you really love her." Eugeo looked surprised.
