The nearest buildings ruptured as did several people. Rebecca was flung backwards, causing an arch of flame in her wake. Sophie ducked a piece of flying masonry and hid behind a large rock that was actually half of the attic I had previously been staying in.
"What have you done?" I yelled, unable to let go of Georgina for fear of being torn apart. She shrugged.
"I pressed the button," she replied. "The stopwatch did all of this."
"Why did you press it, eejit?!"
"Not sure."
"What?!"
"You do realise why she's doing this?" my own voice hissed in my ear. I jumped and sprang backwards. The dark version of me, the one with all the black veins and ashen grey hair, was stood right next to me, arms folded. He pursed his lips and shook his head.
"You really don't know," he sneered. "I see that I'm the one with all the intelligence."
"Shaade, what have you done?" Georgina asked worriedly. "Why is there another one of you?"
"I didn't think that would be a bad thing," I said with a charming smile. She rolled her eyes and I was yanked backwards by the other me. I need to give him a name... How about Edaahs?
"Will you stop flirting for one second?" he growled. "Listen to me, now."
"No," I snapped, folding my arms and tugging myself away. "You're me so I'll know everything you have to say."
"True," Edaahs agreed. "I was just delaying the time until I do this." He unfolded his arms and lashed out with a fist, shadows curling around and sharpening into spikes. I watched in fascination and with a weird sort of pride. So much power! And boy did I look cute when I was mad. (Hang on, do I have a crush on my evil self? What?!)
The shadows darted forwards suddenly and stabbed through the silver stopwatch Georgina had in her clenched fist. Her hand flew open and the stopwatch exploded, burns and blood covering her palm. My eyes went wide and I looked from her to Edaahs in shock.
"What did you do that for?" I cried at the latter. He shrugged and grinned, fangs dripping with black blood. His quiff sparked with black lightening and I frowned, confused.
"So I could absorb the time energy," Edaahs rasped eventually.
"And what was the point in that?"
"Yeah, you're not a Weeping Angel," Georgina added. I smiled at her Whovian joke. Most of the things I've learnt from Earth are either jokes, puns, fandom related things and catchphrases. Ah, the Super Glitches. Why was I loaded with fangirls and crazy teenagers?
"Now I could either fix the universe," Edaahs whispered, waving his hand. Things slowly started to patch up, bricks stuck back together and trees re-planted. "Or I could destroy it even further." His palm snapped outwards and everything shot away from us. People were hurled through the air, plants were shredded and buildings exploded. I cowered to the floor, curling into a tight ball to protect my head. A gas pipe blew up and I felt scorching heat ripple across my back, burning my skin and melting my shirt and waistcoat. After a few seconds of agonising pain I slowly started to heal.
"Ow," a voice squeaked. I looked up and saw that Edaahs was still standing but Georgina had vanished. I glanced around for a few seconds and then spotted Georgina hunched over on the floor, holding the back of her head. Her hair was fine, not singed and at first I didn't know what was wrong. Then she lowered her head even further and face-planted onto the street. I could see a large piece of brickwork lodged in the back of her skull, one half snapped out onto the ground. Only the corner was left and it would be impossible to pull out.
