After the surprise assignment Mr. Lewis had given us, it was time to head home and start researching.

That's the beauty of sixth year: you can either be in for a whole day, or for a matter of hours, and with the classes I had chosen, it was the second conclusion.

I jogged out to the car park at the side of the school, scanning the colourful river of cars until I found what I was looking for.

Another perk of being in the upper year is that you can not only drive to school, avoiding the cramped cattle car they call a bus, but you can also park your car in the school, instead of having to park it at the side of the road.

I flicked the unlock button on my car keys, to hear the soft beeping of the car alarm clicking off. I smiled, as I made my way towards my black Corsa VXR (AN: just type it into Google for pictures if your interested!).

I opened the boot of the car, throwing in my bag and folders, slamming it shut, ensuring the lock had went down properly. As I shimmied my way to the drivers side my mouth fell wide open.

No. Fucking. Way.

Parked beside my car was a bike I had only dreamed of having: 2006 MV Agusta F4 CC, with all black body work, red rims and an awesome blood red custom pattern that ran along the base of the bike where it stood.

I had always wanted one since I had seen one on an advert when I was younger. Unfortunately, these things costed more than I was worth, not to mention the fact that the custom paint job and rims would only add to the small fortune it would have costed.

"Like what you see?" I heard a deep voice purr behind me. I spun round, punching the guy in the nose for getting too close. It was a knee jerk reaction. Being taught self defence, you need to be quick on your reaction time, and let them know you shouldn't be messed with....However, this particular someone already knew that.

"Louis, what the hell?" I scowled, getting a tissue out of my pocket as he held his now bleeding nose, "You should know not to sneak up on me by now."

He only chuckled as I stared at him in disbelief. I put my hand up to his forehead and patted my hand across it, "What are you doing?" He asked, still laughing at the fact he was bleeding!

"Checking to see if you have a damn fever," I breathed, exasperatedly as I looked into his eyes, "Or maybe I should be checking for concussion!"

He stared at me, his eyebrows knitting together in confusion, "And why might you be doing that?" He asked, genuinely.

I didn't know what else to do, I threw my hands up in the air, quickly face palming at his lack of understanding, "I punched you in the nose, it's still bleeding," I stated, pointing towards the red dotted tissue in this hand, "Anyone else's reaction would be to scream in pain, or cry, but what do you do; you fucking laugh about it!" I finished, frustration building in my voice.

He patted me on the head, as I looked up to him and growled. He was so fucking patronising! He drives me crazy.

"With lust." Came the stupid voice from before.

Oh, look who decided to show up!

"Tut, tut, temper temper, Scarlet." It mocked, in a scolding tone.

Could you, I don't know, buzz off?

It laughed. "Now, why would I want to do that and miss the entertainment?" It chided back.

What the hell are you on about? Wait, why am I talking to myself?

"Humans." It said to no one in particular, sighing as it did so, "You really have no idea what you are getting involved with." It finished. I could practically see it shaking it's head.
