The Silence [TPN]

Chapter 1

Mizuki's Pov

The house begins its day with the ringing of a bell at 6 a.m.

"WAKE UP, EVERYONE!" Emma yelled, as she began rousing our siblings.

I enjoy watching them have fun. I was assisting my younger siblings and smiling at their enthusiasm.

"Mizuki, can you put my shoes on?" I looked at my younger sister, who was carrying her shoes. I gave her a friendly nod and began assisting her.

"Thank you!" she exclaimed, and I patted her on the head. Emma whizzed past me, and I noticed she was holding Phil. And the younger siblings are chasing her behind.

Emma was pranked by Lannion and Nat. Emma remained silent for a few moments before following them and causing even more chaos.

"MOWNING, RAY, AND NORMAN!"

I turned around to see Norman and Ray assisting the other siblings in repairing the table.

"Good morning, Emma," Norman said with a smile.

Ray insulted Emma, saying, "Mowning Emma. Morning Mizuki." I blushed and gave him a nervous smile.

(She blushed not because she likes Ray, but because she is shy.)

Norman inquired, "Why are you so energized? We haven't had breakfast yet."

"How old are you again? Five?"

"I'm 11 years old, just like you!" I sweatdrop as I watched Emma, who was acting like a five-year-old. Mama was giggling in the background. "You're such a mean, Ray."

"Even Mama is laughing!" Emma exclaims, her face flushed with surprise as Phil squeezes her cheeks. "Emma, Mizuki, could you help me out here?"

I get closer to Mama, and then Emma runs into her. "But Mama!" she whined, "I want to redo my entrance!"

"Why? I love that about you" Mama said, smiling as I approached her to offer her a hug. "That I'm five years old inside?!" As she tightens her embrace around us, I nuzzle my head onto her chest.

"No, that you are truly concerned about your family, as well as yourself, Mizuki," she says as she draws us closer to her. Emma and I exchanged brilliant smiles with her. Emma said, "Thank you," as I blushed.

I watch as everyone laughs, and I notice Conny with her bunny, who is also giggling. "I'm sorry," I said quietly as I looked at her with a sad expression.

I walked up to the table and took a seat next to Ray. "We're right on time," Mama exclaimed as she raised and rang her bell.

"Thank you for the food!"

Time skip

"Age 11, type 1, and answer each question in under 10 seconds; we'll get started now."

"Choose the diagram that is incorrectly labeled as a three-dimensional shape A" Beep

"Question 2: What is the total number of cubes illustrated?" Beep

"Question 3: What will be the number at the 50th position in the series?" Beep

"Question 18: Choose the area that best depicts the inequlity..." Beep

"Question 25-" Beep

Beep

"Question 32-" Beep

"Question 59: When the following circumstances are met, what is the relative equation derived..."

"Now, Type 2..."

"phew!"

"We're done!"

"I'm exhausted"

I sigh as I remove my headphones. "I guess I got at least half!" I overheard them saying. "Wow, that much!"

"I'm jealous because I didn't get most of it, like almost! " I heard Conny says, who is holding her bunny.

"I have the results," Mama said, and we were all focused on Mama. "Norman, Ray, Emma, and Mizuki..."

"You guys did an incredible job! You all received 300 points! Perfect scores!"

Time skip

Third person's Pov

"Ray, will you be joining us?" Emma inquired of the bedheaded boy.

Ray just replied, "Nope."

Emma said, pouting, "Boring, I wish he'd join in once in a while."

Mizuki walked out of the house with a book in her hand and climbed up to the tree where Ray was sitting. He didn't notice her. Except for Norman, everyone else ran to the forest.

He was standing there, waiting for Ray's signal, who was looking at his pocket watch.

Norman nodded and began racing towards the trees as Ray signaled him that he was ready.

Ray slid his pocket watch back into his pocket as he watched Norman run. Ray went back to his book and began reading again.

He dusted off a leaf that had fallen on his book. Another leaf landed on him, but he was unconcerned. Ray notices that the leaves are still falling. "What the..." Ray's eyes twitched.

He looked up when he heard chuckling and spotted the one and only Mizuki. Ray is taken aback by the white-haired girl's presence. He was taken aback by the fact that he didn't notice her.

Mizuki unintentionally slid into a tree branch. Ray became aware and began racing into her before she crashed to the ground.

Ray catches her, and she now top of him. "Nice catch," Mizuki commented with a smile. When Ray realized what they were in, he reddened.

Mizuki was also aware of their situation, and she swiftly rose to her feet, her face flushed.

Ray's POV

After Mizuki left the top on me, I was still absorbing what had just happened. I glance at her and  notice her flushing face. She will, however, always blush.

I got up and sat next to her, taking my book with me and continuing to read. My suddenly shoulder began to feel heavy.

Mizuki was laying her head on my shoulders when I turned around. I sigh and let her be.
