It started with mother of course being herself, of course a little more emotional. The rollercoaster started with her. Always. Today she actually wore black skinnies with a white shirt that happen to not be stained with red yet. Her brown curly hair shining like always.  Luckily unless we are leaving for somewhere all of my siblings and I were we usually wearing uniforms of plaid skirt/pant with normal white shirts with The Lady on the inside of the collars. When school is over the uniform comes off.

"Mother, you don't get it, I want to be with Russell." Libby one of my younger sisters that wanted to marry a guy that she met and fell in love with. Libby happen to be a cute olive skin naive bundle of love with green hair and amber eyes still dressed in her uniform with more white than plaid and always aggressive towards mommy dearest since she turned sixteen six months ago at least.

Of course mother wasn't having it one bit, love is a sore subject to her. Putting together an arranged marriage to some son of a old friend, it was the norm for us girls to be pawned off on men we didn't know.

I strongly disagreed with the arranged marriages that has consumed my siblings abilities to find their own happiness without being forced to take up men that don't care a foot for the well being of their wives.

Sure it never seemed that any of the arranged marriages caused any of my siblings any great pain, most of the brother-in-laws to be are actually good enough people. And truly are the way they had presented themselves.

"You don't get it love, I'm not trying to be mean. Russell wouldn't suit you it wouldn't be right for you to marry so young to the first guy that treats you nice, there is more to marriage than puppy love." Mother felt it necessary to tell her what kind of love she carried for Russell, like that ever worked before why would it work now.

The look that clouded Libby's face screamed not listening. Among my siblings she happens to be one of the most stubborn person I have grown up with and trust me when I say the list on that is long.

" No, what you want is control over me! So you marry me off to some rich man's son to reeks the benefits of our unnatural union. I'm not like Christine that engagement was too shady, it had to have been forced and I will not have you do that to me." Libby said harshly. Her words were meant to be missiles aim at mother in her most fragile state. It seems to do what she planned it to.

A hurt expression crossed mother's face for a second but was gone to my eyes as soon as it came. "Libby honey, just trust me when I say you don't want this. It will tear you to pieces and leave you a husk of this lovely feisty princess that you are now, the boy you are engaged to trust me he will make you happy."

" How can you just be OK with ruining your family's lives like this it is so unfair to everyone that you try to fix their lives when yours is more ruined by the moment. Where is daddy in your life now? It wouldn't be right to make a decision to pawn me off without him. Does he even love you anymore tru..." Libby went on. If I didn't stop her she would have continued until she took it way to far and bring out the beast in our now docile mother.

" That is enough Libby. You've gone to far, go cool off I have mother." I interjected pulling mother in for a close hug. I could tell she was thinking about dad and that wasn't a good thing ever since she decided upon the biggest decision of her life concerning him.. Dad was against it but mother's determination won him over. On a mission before the event was to happen someone thought to hurt daddy, an organisation known to some as Real Humans. They hurt daddy to the point he didn't remember mother until she forced a kiss on him. Not the best sight with parent but a frequent enough with them.
