"No, see, that's what I''m saying" I explain as I wave a hand up to the sky. "There are times in life when you can't just expect help."

Jason rolled his eyes to the sky while Tim laughed and sipped his drink.

"Cedric that is your job" Jason said.

I shrug "Yeah man, but I'm being overworked." I exhale before downing my champagne.

"Hey, hey, don't drink too much in case you gotta drive us home!" Jason reprimanded before taking my glass and setting it to the side.

I scoff and hold my arms out in disbelief "What am I? Your butler?"

"Don't look now, but here comes Bruce's playboy son" Tim scoffed.

I look over and see Dick with three girls walking over to us. "Following in Bruce's footsteps" I scoffed.

"Ugh, I need a drink" Jason groaned as he turned.

"Me too" I add, turning to follow him but Dick reaches me before I could get away.

"Cedric! I found you a girl!" Dick laughed.

The girl fluttered her eyelashes at me and I chuckled.

"Haha, so funny as usual Dick!" I sarcastically say "But you know I already have a girl"

I don't actually but it's the most polite way and fastest way to reject someone.

"You do?" A girl asks before my phone rings.

I pick it up and step away from everyone.

"Hey Ced, I've been looking over the files you sent me and I just want to make sure they are separate incidents because they seem kinda similar." Flinn said through the phone.

"No they're separate" I say through the phone as I pick up a champagne glass. "But yes, they are similar. Bruce broke his ankle two months ago and Duke sprained his ankle. They were both doing something that I can't remember so just you know, make sure you write down the fake doctors signature explaining that they looked it over."

"Which fake doctor are we going with again? The one from Africa or the one who now lives in England?" Flinn asked.

I scrunch my nose up and swallow a sip of champagne "Does it matter? Neither exist?"

Flinn sighed through the phone "Well normally I wouldn't care but I think you said to the public that the one from Africa died because some reporter wanted to talk to him."

I sigh and set my champagne glass on a random waiter's tray as they walk by.

"Okay so do the guy in England." I say exhausted ly as I step out onto the balcony of the mansion for fresh air.

"Yes sir!" Flinn said as I heard vigorous keyboard typing on the other end. "So uh, where are you right now?"

"Bruce, Dick, Jason, and Tim were invited to some anniversary party and meeting them here was a happy accident because I know the son of the man who's having the party." I explain as I turn around and lean my back against the balcony's ledge.

"Just a happy accident huh?" Flynn asked, not sounding convinced.

I smirk at the stars "Yeah, otherwise I would have put more of an effort to wear a suit that matched theirs. I'm standing in dress pants and suspenders right now."

Flynn sucked in a breath teasingly "Jeez, are you trying start a riot or something?"

"Or something" I see Tim waving me over and furrow my eyebrows "Okay, I gotta go"

"Later!" Flynn says before I hang up.

I walk over to Tim who says "Hey, Bruce has gotta go and he's being forced to make a speech" He lifts his phone to show the batsymble lighting up the screen a little.

I sigh and say "You realize this is my day off, right?"

Tim smirks and says "Your days off are when we don't get ourselves into these problems."

"So never!" I joke before sighing "I'll see what I can do"

I exit the party room through the elevator and go to the lower levels of the building. It doesn't take me long to find the circuit box without anyone noticing.

I him to myself and turn off all the power in the building.

I can hear faint screams of surprise and wait a second before calling the head servant of the party who I got the number of before even coming to this party.

The man answers and I say in a deeper voice "Sir, I'm trying to find the problem with the electricity but it's gonna take from an hour to all night depending on the problem you might wanna just send people back to their homes."

"Oh I see" The man said worriedly. "I'll tell Mr Jones."

"Good idea" I say before hanging up and walking away. Another day, another solution to a problem.

As I'm heading out of the building I see my ex.

She stands with her hands on her hips and her head cocked.

Uuuuuggggghhhhhhhhh!!!!!
