Gabriel heard about Matías's victory however he wasn't happy with it as he heard that a lot of men had died unnecessarily in that battle. Gabriel however was happy with 2 successive Spanish victories on land and sea which he believed will dwindle the French morale further. The Spanish's morale however despite their successes so far was low due to the beloved king's health declining. Spain's future is uncertain and which is why some generals want to quickly attack France and force them to a quick surrender.

Gabriel met with his fellow generals on the planning tent again to discuss the plans on their next attack.

"So listen up, like I said before we need to attack France earlier than expected. We need to do this! We must prepare all the soldiers faster to catch the French off guard and go deeper into France territory till they are willing to surrender. Rafael proposed.

"That is not going to work, we are aware of the king's situation however our soldiers will be absolutely drained if that is the plan. I do agree we need to hurry up however we must keep the soldiers health in to consideration.

"FINE, HAVE IT YOUR WAY!" Rafael shouted at Gabriel before leaving the tent.

"What is his problem?" Tobal asked.

"He hasn't been the same since Andreas's death, it has taken a toll on him, I can tell." Alfonso told Tobal.

"I have more important things to worry about than him. We will march to Lourdes soon, they will be prepared to defend it fiercely however with the right planning we will take the town." Gabriel told his fellow generals.

(Switches to Matías's perspective)

"Lord Matías, I have very important news to share with you." A messenger said.

"Share the news then." Matías said.

"The king is ill and his chances of survival I'm afraid to tell you are...low." The messenger said emotionally.

"Oh, that's really bad news. I will visit him and leave one of my officers in charge." Matías said.

"That's completely understandable." The Messenger then quickly left.

Matías got up from his seat and then went outside his room on his ship to find one of his servants. He found him cleaning one of the rooms on the ship.

"Hey you! I need a word with you, come with me." Matías commanded.

The servant looked up to see Matías staring at him. The servant got up and followed Matías to his room. Many of the bystanders that saw the incident were shocked and confused on why Matías would ask that servant specifically when he walked past a few other servants.

Matías opened his room door for him and the servant entered. Their was a two minutiae silence till the servant spoke. "Is it safe to talk now?" He whispered.

"I would say so, anyway our plan is working due to the king's illness severing." Matías told the servant in a enthusiastic tone.

"That is brilliant! so finally we can get his son on the throne of Spain, which benefits our plan." The servant told Matías

"It indeed does, indeed but I am going to take advantage of this situation even further, I am going to ask the king for even more control of the army, hopefully half of the land army and he will most likely accept due to his weak state." Matías said.

"That is a good idea but why? Don't we already have what is necessary?" The servant asked.

"No we do not, having control of half on the land army will be the final measure make sure this plan works without a chance of failure. Gabriel will do everything in his power to make sure it doesn't work however by the time he realises about our plan it will be to late." Matías laughed.

"Ok then should I send word to the scout about the plan" The servant asked.

"Yeah definitely! As soon as you do that go back to being a servant till further notice we can't let them know your purpose." Matías said.
