After school I decided to walk home with my friend, on my way home we decided to go and get some chocolate or sweets from the shops near my house.
"so what shall we get" I asked "hmmmm maybe I might just get some Kit Kat, what about you?" asked Olivia "I might get some gum maybe Extra I don't know" after I said that we reached the shop and entered.
"hello girls'' said the shop owner mr Sanchez "hi mr Sanchez" we said whilst getting the snack the wanted and we gave it to mr Sanchez to scan it "that will be two pounds" he smiled "here you go have a great day" I smiled back then me and my friend went to my place so we could finish up some homework before the weekend which was tomorrow by the way.
As I entered my house I herd some mumbling come from the kitchen
I told my friend "go to my room I'll meet you there" she knew something was off so she went ahead whilst I was tip toeing to the kitchen, I was outside the door and I herd both my parents whispering so I decided to listen in.
"come on David we should at least let them stay for a bit and if you still don't like them we could give them to another family" "no Nancy the bills are going to be way more expensive" hissed my father
"no it won't David the government would be paying for all of that" pleaded my mother "ok so what about Addison what if she doesn't like the plan" pointed out my father "we are getting another girl her age they will get along together she has a little brother you can look after him like he is your son" said my mother
"ok fine then they can stay for one month and if I still don't like them than we are sending them off to another family and that's final" finished my father, my mum had a little smile that grew into a big one and she hugged him saying "your the best husband ever I really appreciate you soo much and I'll tell Addison this good news tomorrow".
After that I ran all the way to my room shocked from what I herd "so what happened" asked my friend "I think that my parents are getting foster children" I said with my mouth still opened
"so what? that's really cool we are both only children and now your getting staying-for-a-while-siblings" she said "true and apparently there is a girl my age coming and she has a little brother too" I said feeling happy about it "your so lucky your basically going to have a non or maybe a identical twin. ugh!! I wish my parents were like yours maybe we can all be friends do you know what her name is" "no I don't but what if she is the opposite of us" I worried
"nah I doubt that" then my friend's phone started ringing "hello, yeah I'm at Addison's place, but mum, ok fine then I'm on my way" she said "you have to go home don't you" I guessed "you guessed right anyways bye Addy" said my friend whilst leaving my room.
When she left I sat on my bed and processed everything that happened I was shocked 'omg i'm going to have a little brother and a twin sister wow this is crazy nothing exciting has ever happened'
"honey can you come and help me make dinner please" shouted my mother from downstairs "how did you know I was here" I shouted back from up stairs "oh because I saw your friend coming downstairs from your room" "oh ok I'm coming let me just get undress from my school uniform" I said.
After dinner I was still shocked so I couldn't keep it inside and had to blabber it out "so are you guys getting foster children" I blabbered "yes how did you know" my mother asked suspicious "oh I herd you guys apparently there is going to be a girl and a boy" "yeah, actually we was supposed to tell you tomorrow" said my mum
"yeah I know so what's their names" I asked "oh well the girls name is Maddison and the boy's name is Mason "oh" I said "what's wrong, you don't like them it's fine just give them a month or so" my mum said worried "no it's just that they sound American and it's going to be weird if an American came to live with us and plus how did they lose their family" I asked
"oh they had a alcoholic father and one night he came home late and he was mad, so then he killed their mother and sister so they will have to stay with us" she explained "oh wow that's" I was speechless I didn't know what to do then my dad asked "when are they coming?" "um maybe next week Friday or Saturday" responded my mother.
