As soon as the bus stop, I ran out of it and make my way to the mall. I bumped a person or two as I did.

I really hope Vincent is still here. But then again I am forty five minutes late so he probably left or he didn't come in the first place. Ugh. This is all Annie's fault. If it weren't for her drunken ass.

The mall is packed with people today. Like really packed. Seriously? What's this madness all about. It's not Christmas or something. I wonder if they having some event. Cause you know, that's the always the reason why people go here.

Anyway, after like forever I finally got at our meeting place. First floor, infront of the department store. But he's not here. I look around hoping to find a tousled brown hair and glasses but none. He's probably gone. I mean if it is me, I will surely be bored waiting.

Wait! I should call him.

I fished out my phone and momentarily heave a sigh. Too bad I don't have his phone number.

What now? Maybe I'll just head back home.

I swear to god, you can actually fry an egg outside because of the heat. It's almost three in the afternoon but the heat is still on its full blast. Deciding wether to take a bus or a jeepney, I started my way to the road where jeepneys mostly stop for loading. Jeepneys fee are cheaper than bus' but they dont go on our street so I have to walk a few miles.

As I wait for a jeepney to come I look over to the open parking lot to my right. Different cars are lined.

One day, I'm going to have my own car. One day.

But for now, the bus and jeepneys will be my ride.

"Ria!" Hmm? Did someone call my name?

I turn to look behind me. But no one is looking at my direction.

"Ria!" There it goes again. I look at my left and right side but everybody seems oblivious. I ignore it for the second time and focus for a jeep to come. Maybe I just hearing things.

"Ria!" Okay, that's it I'm not hearing things. I look around me trying to find where that voice is coming from.

"Over here!" At the other side of a parking lot, a grinning Vince is waiting for me. He's actually waving like a maniac some people stare at him. Grin started to crept on my face as I make my way to him.

I could say that this boy is good looking. With his black plain tshirt and dark wash pants. Boy, he can pull that off. And those eyes, gosh those eyes! I can go skinny deeping on those eyes.

"You came!" he called as I reached him. Oblivious at my thoughts. He gave me his dimpled smile. Oh man! I can feel my knees melting.

"Um. You're still here." I swallowed. "I mean, its past three I thought you already gone."

"Gone?" he asked. I thought he was going to laugh at the word but he just crooked his lips.

"Yeah. Gone." I half laughed.

"Gone?" he asked again but a smirk is plastered on his handsome face. Did I just say handsome?

"Are you smirking at me?" I narrowed my eyes at him but the playful smile never leaves my face.

He pretend thinking about it by pointing a finger at his temple. "I don't know? Maybe? What are you gonna do about it?" He lean on the car at his side and cross his arms at his chest. He give me that look. Man, is he?

"Are you flirting with me?" curiosity lace on my tone.

A real smile appear on his face before answering, "Am I that bad?"

What? "No!"

"So I am good?" he asked again.

Huh? "Um." I stuttered. I didn't know where he is going to this but I honestly dont know if he is good or not. You can't really tell right?

I pick at my nails. God this is awful. I swear I can feel my face turning into a tomato.

To my dismay, I heard a low laugh from him. "Your cute." he said and drop his hands only to shove in his pockets.

"Hmm?" I look up to him.

"Your cute when you blush." he laughed. "I really like it."

"Err. Should I say thank you?" now my face is going crimson.

"Yeah. Take that as a compliment."

That's more like it.

"So, what are we gonna do now?" I asked diverting the topic.

"Um. You wanna go back to the mall?" he asked pointing the direction of the now more crowded mall.

"God no. I can barely breath inside." Going back inside means losing my head. That place is hell and I can guarantee that where going to shout in order to hear each other and I can't do that.

"I was thinking the same thing. C'mon I know a place." he gestured for me to follow but my legs stay still where I stand.

"What?" he said when he notice that I was not moving to follow him.

He smiled at me and streched his hand. "Let's go. Trust me." he assured me.

Deliberately, I reached for his hand and take it.

"Okay." I mumble. His hand is rough at mine but I didn't mind. He look at me one last time and led me to a red tinted car not far away to the one he was leaning minutes ago.

"You have an Audi?" I sout in disbelief. I can't believe he have his own car. And this car, man this car is cool. What's not cool on a Audi R8? I mean seriously?

"Um. No, it's my father's." reluctantly, he look at the car and added, "He let me use it sometimes."

"Oh." is all I could say.

He snorted. "This is just one of his toys." I shivered at the tone of his voice.

"You mean you have a lot of this?" I asked while examining the car. This car is awesome. I dream about having car like this.

"No Ria. He." he pointed. "He have a lot of this." he emphasize the word he for me. I notice the bitterness of his tone when he said the word.

I just stared blankly at him. As if noticing my discomfort he jingle the keys that was looped on his finger.

Playful Vince is right in front of me again. "Let's go! It's been awhile since I drive this thing. We don't have all day." I didn't have a time to answer when he open the passenger seat for me.

I smile at him "What a gentleman, are you." I mocked as I climb at the car.

"Why thank you." he said removing a invisible hat from his head and bow in front of me.

I laugh at his playfulness. He climb at the driver seat, do his seatbelt and look at me.

Vince is smiling like a child to me and said. "Ready?"

"Ready." and we were out on the road.
